Read what parents are saying about Bainbridge High SchoolI raised 2 girls through the school system. Bainbridge High more than prepared my kids for college. Both have said college is easier than high school and although high school was a hard time in life (most kids struggle at this age. Period. It’s not the high school but social media and parents not spending time with their kids). I had one kid with an IEP and if your doctor writes a letter explaining the issue, teachers and administration more than helped with support. Word of advice: know your kids’ friends and their parents wherever you live. It’s hard making friends at a new school especially starting a new school as a teen no matter where you go.
Posted by a parent on 2/9/2023I would give no stars but that is not an option. The teacher and students have zero accountability or code of conduct. There are no morals but even worse, the academics are way below what we gave previously experienced at private school. I am currently trying to get my child back in private school. We moved in 2020. The public schools here are an abomination.
Posted by a parent on 11/17/2022As a parent with two children on an EIP; you really need to advocate for your students. Otherwise they get lost in the system. We had several issues over the past two years including my one daughter being mismatched with a teacher who was not equipped to communicate with a student on an IEP. Even after sending several emails; we never heard back from the teacher and had to get the associate principal involved and they still prioritized the teacher over my child. I would NOT send my child to this school if they on any 504 or IEP support.
Posted by a parent on 10/28/2022This school is great for students who can learn and have a direction for their future. The school has high standards and expectations and provides many avenues to keep the students engaged. Particular attention is directed to making sure all students have a pathway to graduation and preparation for further education especially collage bound individuals. I have gratitude to the staff and especially the teachers who care about the success of the students.
Posted by a parent on 12/25/2021This is a wonderful school. The teachers are top-notch and passionate about what they do, and the administration really cares. The education my daughters have received there is equivalent to the best private schools in Seattle.

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy family has been very dissatisfied with this school, which is unfortunate since it is one of the main reasons we moved here. The classes are large and if your child isn’t at the top or bottom of their class they are often overlooked. With no homework and only a couple of meetings with the teachers it is also hard to find out how they are doing in school. As for the teachers, they are hit or miss. It has been difficult to see our children’s needs ignored.Other Review10mo ago - Capt Johnston Blakely Elementary School

Once asynch went to hybrid, the k teachers were shuffled around and a first grade teacher took on one of the K. Unfortunately, it felt like the curriculum did not shift. We checked with several other K teachers and they agreed the work being asked for was not K work. When we commented on the disconnect, we were told that this was just our perception. In addition, after a year of teaching without a social component, we got feedback our son's skills were not up to expectation in terms of independence. Evidently he should be able to read multi-sentence math problems all on his own.The last week of school, communication has vanished. Assignments dwindled with little or non communication, and to say the teacher was "phoning it in" would be a stretch. I agree with other parents who have said Blakely's focus seems more on performance and maintaining their "Blue Ribbon" status rather than on helping their students reach their potential.Parent Review2y ago - St Cecilia Catholic School

It is not a pressure cooker and we never saw any bullying on campus. The campus is safe and lovely. If we hadn't needed to move away, our child would still attend this school. Can't express how helpful they were for our family!! Highly recommend!Parent Review6y ago - Montessori Country School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is one of a kind! My children have all adored their experiences at Madrona, both in the early childhood and grade school programs. They emerged more confident, curious, and kind, due in no small part to the strong bonds with their outstanding teachers. The Waldorf approach has worked for them, and transformed academic learning from a daily grind into a engaged and proactive intellectual journey. They have loved the school’s outdoor time, nature, and art, as well as opportunities for deep friendship and connection in a small-group setting.Parent Review2y ago - St Cecilia Catholic School
