Read what parents are saying about Millbrook High SchoolThe teachers at this school wouldn't be bothered to give me the time of day, nor did they care when myself and many of my other friends often were harassed or skipped school. Our choir director mocked a few girls openly in class, and would play favourites to the point where it was obvious that if you weren't one of his favourite students, you may as well have not existed. I got away with sleeping in class for three out of my four years there, and I know many students, myself included, who could, and would, just walk out of the building. The people who were supposed to care about us didn't, unless we were blatantly having problems, and oftentimes we were told to 'not let it get to us', when these problems were contributing to our mental health. Our sex ed is laughable--one of the brightest girls in my class had a child in her freshmen year--and I learnt more from a google search. This place is not somewhere where anybody should send their children.
Posted by a community member on 1/5/2016Many of the teachers are so caring and go the extra mile to make sure their students' succeed. My kids enjoy the academics and the sports programs at the school. A special shout-out to Mr. Green who helped my daughter with math last year. Thank you.
Posted by a parent on 8/27/2013Millbrook High School is a step in the wrong direction. Academics here are the bare minimum. Teachers do not care about students and guidance counselors are nowhere to be seen. The place is a retention pool for white trash and great students are masked by the stink of the majority, who care nothing of their academics or the school itself. Classes have extremely low expectations and workload. The amount of students dropping out is surprising considering how easy classes are. Students here are not prepared for college and most end up working jobs instead of pursuing careers. The school's sex education program is comical. Mostly relying on urban legends and abstinence as opposed to teaching accurate information or safe sex. The SOL scores are abysmal as well. If you want your child to succeed in life, stay away from all Frederick County schools.

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is absolutely outstanding. The principal and assistant principal are involved more than any other upper school staff I’ve encountered. Seriously the dedication is absolutely commendable. Kudos to them! The front office staff are a pleasure to see and always eager to assist and do so with a smile! They have great relationships with the children and go above and beyond. The special education department - wow. These women do for much for these children. They’re dedicated, loving and I just cannot say enough about their efforts. They’ve made a stressful situation less daunting, and provide the peace of mind every parent desires when they send their child to school.Thank you to each and every one of you for all that you do for these children!Parent Review3y ago - Greenwood Mill Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreenwood Mill is an amazing school! All of the faculty and staff treat you like family and they know all of the kids by name. The teachers do a great job motivating the students and helping them achieve their goals through positive reinforcement. They encourage parental involvement through volunteering and offer many PTO events to get families involved..and you will always see Mrs. Muldowney at the events smiling and welcoming every child and family member. My daughter has loved her experience here!Parent Review6mo ago - Keystone Christian Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son's have gone to Sharon's for almost a year now and they both love it. They have a Spanish program for the pre-school portion which my son loves. They offer both breakfast and lunch and provide snacks. They are extremely conscientious about food allergies as well. My children love going here and love their teachers.Parent Review9y ago
