I'll fist say that I'm not sure where some of these other reviews are having their experience with teachers --- parents however is quite a different story. Neither myself nor my husband are from this area. The staff and administration (minus our new atrocious principal) have all been wonderful. We really could not have asked for better experiences for either of our very children who are on completely different ends of the learning spectrum. The parents can be cliquey. It is a rural area with deep roots and families that have been living here since before the mid 1800's (to the point where there are streets named after them) but unless you really have a need to insert yourselves into these cliques everyone is polite enough to converse with at school functions, athletics, and play dates without issue. The issues I see other parents having a lot is when they don't have realistic expectations for their child's capabilities or realistic expectations for how teachers should deal with them. Little Johnny and Susie don't deserve praise when they aren't doing a good job, to doubt that they aren't getting extra attention though seems a far reach. My child who frequently under performs as a student is always given the 1:1 time he needs and teachers communicate what work needs to be done at home to improve. Praising another student and recognizing their hard work means your student needs to work harder to receive that praise.. Sorry, guess I was just raised to earn what you feel like you deserve?

I grew up in this school district. In fact, I use to attend Creeds when I was little. My personal experience of attending the school was outstanding. I liked going to school. As years passed, I have a daughter of my own. She attends Creeds now and dislikes school. This is her 2nd year and both years considered as struggling or average. The teachers have done nothing to boost her confidence; yet discourage her by praising other children in the classroom in front of her. It's true that if you are in the "out of circle" you are just swept under the rug. Raised in Creeds, but still out of the circle without the "right last name."

I agree with the parents that state that if you grew up in the area and are in the inner circle then you are treated differently by the other parents and teachers. I work as a top administrator for a school district and have been very unhappy with this school. I moved my child to another school in the district that actually is professional and works for all of their children.

Creeds is a wonderful elementary school. The school only has a population of around 300, so that allows for every student to get the proper attention. The principal is personally involved in everything, and knows everyone's name. The teachers are professional, knowledgeable, and caring. The smaller class size is a definite advantage in this school. There is a large amount of parent involvement and student recognition.
