An amazing school! Teachers are great and very responsive to any questions or concerns. Parents are very involved an we feel so lucky to have this school in our community.

At William Fox Elementary, there appears to be a troubling pattern of discrimination against children of color and those with disabilities, which undermines the school’s commitment to equity and inclusion. Multiple reports from parents and students highlight instances of disproportionate disciplinary actions, lack of tailored support for students with special needs, and a curriculum that fails to represent diverse cultures and histories. This systemic bias not only affects academic performance but also damages the self-esteem and overall well-being of these children, contributing to a school environment where they feel marginalized and undervalued. Urgent remedial actions are needed to ensure that all students receive the equitable education and support they deserve

RWS has been a blessing to both our family, but most importantly to our daughter. She is about to graduate from RWS this coming summer 2024 and her development, growth, learning experience and just overall day to day school life has been truly a blessing and true excellent educational opportunity. This school is most remarkable! My child attended this school many years ago and later St Gertrude's! She received a most incredible education at St Benedict's and later at St Grutrude's! In my observation the best any child could obtain from anywhere! It is with great sorrow that I see that both senior high schools are no longer operated in the same neighborhoods. Tragic, in my humble opinion as many of the current St Benedict's school children will not be able to afford the luxury of traveling all the way out to Goochland to attend St Gertrude's or St Benedictine's high schools! What can the public do to encourage and financially enable the Catholic Church to resume high school educations in the museum area for the poorer children of Richmond? Color me sad!

Permanently closed. Abandoned by the church and abandoned by leadership. So sad for the dedicated teachers and dedicated parents and students.
