Read what parents are saying about Hunters Woods ElementaryI would not recommend this school, unless your child is gifted. If your child is a neurodiverse learner, it falls very short.
Posted by a community member on 3/7/2024Two of my daughters attended pre-k her with Ms.Kelly and Ms. Sara and they are amazing, informative teachers. Our daughters adore these teachers and they learned so much. We are very thankful for these 2 teachers!
Posted by a parent on 12/11/2021My children have had a wonderful experience at Hunters Woods. My oldest is in the AP program and he finds the program rewarding and challenging. I know he’s looking forward to another great school year.
Posted by a parent on 6/23/2019The experience has changed from positive to negative. It really changed based on the latest experience with a bad teacher and poor dealing of a bullying situation. Schools are great when your child is happy. When you start utilizing school resources and see how poorly negative experiences are handled and the impact on your child, you can’t have anything but a negative view.
Posted by a parent on 6/23/2018My gifted son had a pretty negative experience there. Unfortunately, it is not very uniform. There are some good teachers and good people in the administration, and there are some quite poor teachers and administrators as well. Additionally, there was little oversight during playground time which led to opportunities for bullying. We left the school due to our negative experiences.

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have found the school to not be welcoming to new children. We recently moved from overseas and my child was bullied for being the new kid by a known bully (who is even known to the parents as the school bully). The school did not do anything for new students, and though my child has been ok, this has been a stark difference from our previous school where new children were made to feel welcome. My child has repeatedly said that American children are so mean. Academically, it seems like the teachers often phone it in and rely on iPads to do their teaching for them. We are working with our child separately to ensure academic progress because there don’t seem to be accountability nor standards in the classroom.Parent Review4mo ago - Fox Mill Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a parent of two children at this school. One is doing JI and the other is at Gen Ed and has a learning disability. Both children have excellent teachers, and we get great support. This school is very welcoming, from the front desk to the Principal and Vice Principal, to all the staff. The PTA is extremely engaged, and we have wonderful events planned for every season. Both kids are challenged appropriately. Our child with special needs is getting the right support for her to thrive. The school has a private school feeling, we really could not ask for a better learning environment for our children.Parent Review3w ago - Crossfield Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child had a terrible introduction to school because of a militant kindergarten teacher and unsupportive staff at Crossfield. After a year at Crossfield, my once fun-loving and jovial 6yo now struggles with low self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. My child’s teacher would shout at my child when she got angry/frustrated, she would shame my child publicly which made them cry on a few occasions, and she even taught my child that they were “self-centered”. My child hates school but worse than that they hate themself, which is heartbreaking. This teacher prefers to teach to a one-sized fits all approach. Meaning, if your child gets “out of line”, or learns differently than the majority, then they are shunned and labeled difficult versus offered support.Parent Review1y ago - Sunset Hills Montessori School
