I appreciate the safety protocols of this school. I also enjoy the volunteer opportunities for family. My child has benefitted greatly from the schools guidance counselors efforts to provide meaningful, educational, and real life support for mental health. The PE team is fantastic as well. My favori

Smaller classroom sizes (children, not square footage) than the other 2 public schools in Shenandoah County, which allows for better teacher/child interaction.

This school is at the mercy of the local school board, which has recently been taken over by aggressively racist idealogues. They are renaming this school after a pro-slavery insurrectionist, a loud and clear message that only white families will ever be respected in the district under this leadership. Run, don't walk, to a different district, unless you want your child to learn that slavery wasn't that bad.
