Posted by a parent on 9/20/2024though, it was several years ago; this school was a complete utter nightmare. bullying was only physical once but other times very verbal, i was an outcast and only had 1 friend who i hardly even talked to because the kids took every opportunity to single me out, the teacher was no help what-so-ever

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur military family, having moved to Virginia in summer 2022, was blessed to have found a supportive and educational community with SJS, marking our first engagement with Catholic traditions. SJS has been incredibly positive, offering both a welcoming environment and a strong academic foundation for our daughter. The school has been instrumental in our daughter's achievements throughout 4th and 5th grade, including maintaining honors and developing new skills such as playing the ukulele and piano, as well as engaging in innovative art projects. She has been able to improve her physical fitness and sociability by participating in the run club and spirit team. Staff and faculty have considerately made themselves available to problem solve any concerns or dilemmas. Transitioning to a new place can be challenging, especially for military families, so finding a school that provides such care and enrichment is truly valuable. As we prepare for another relocation with the military, we are deeply grateful for the positive influence SJS has had on our daughter’s academic career.
