Read what parents are saying about Dominion Christian SchoolWe have had children at Dominion Christian School for the last 14 years and we HIGHLY recommend the school for Parents who want their children to learn. A true classical education. My husband and I wish we could go back to school. The next generation of leaders go to Dominion Christian School. The teachers are not only teaching our children the fundamentals, they are teaching them how to critically think, and guide their hearts toward Jesus. If you want your child to not get caught up in a worldly view, send them to Dominion Christian School. You will not be sorry. While I only ranked 2 stars for special education, the school has been very accommodating for one of our sons who is severely dyslexic. After having him tested and approved for an IEP, he is given appropriate accommodations to succeed in the classroom.
Posted by a parent on 3/30/2024This school teaches Jesus at the core of all they do. The teachers genuinely care for the students and the families and vice versa. The school instills the love of learning in the children. We feel blessed to be a part of the community
Posted by a parent on 1/12/2024It is a blessing and a privilege to have our son attend the North Campus of this school (the South Campus is wonderful too!). It's a wonderful location filled with teachers and staff who glorify God in the way they love and care for the students. Jesus is the foundation of everything that is taught at this school. If you're considering a Christian school for your children, I strongly recommend scheduling a tour so that you can see these things for yourself!
Posted by a parent on 11/28/2023We love this school! I really didn’t want to pay for private school education, but just in her first two years here (K & 1st) it has been the best money we have spent. Her reading level already in 1st grade is equivalent to most 2nd& even 3rd graders in public school. And I love that she is learning things they really don’t teach in public elementary school…cursive :) public speaking & respect/being polite. The teachers she has had are so loving, and caring and really enjoy working with the kids and teaching. Even the principal makes a point to know each child and their family. I love that they teach kids how to learn and not just what to learn. And of course, as a Christian, I love that there is focus on God and the Bible throughout their school year. For example, she has learned all the books of the Bible, the Apostles Creed, Psalm 23 and Psalm 1. There is a purity and innocence in the children that should be there. And there’s a recognition and freedom of allowing kids to be kids in playing and learning, something lost in a world that matures kids too fast these days IMO. I highly recommend Dominion Christian School.
Posted by a parent on 2/17/2023We have three children at Dominion in 1st, 6th, and 7th grades and all three have been there since kindergarten. We all love their school! From our first months in kindergarten into middle school Dominion has exceeded our expectations. At Dominion our students are known, loved, and cared for individually. Their teachers are intentional about developing their character as much as their academic abilities, and each teacher displays a love for Christ in all that they do. Our children are excelling academically and developing a love for learning and for God. We highly recommend Dominion Christian School.

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter went to this school. She has ADHD and did not get any support when she needed. Other teacher told me that she was harrased by her teacher in front of others. And the new principal treated my child like a handicap. Whatever incident happened to my daughter, this school blamed on her. The new principal is very unconcerned and not caring on minority, especially Asians. Not a good school for anyone!Parent Review1y ago - Flint Hill Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLouise Archer Elementary School has proven to be an unfortunate choice for my children's education. The school's unwelcoming atmosphere and lackluster approach to fostering a positive learning environment have left us deeply disappointed. Despite having experienced other great schools in Vienna, our time at Louise Archer has been marked by disinterest from the administration, unengaging teaching methods, and a dearth of extracurricular opportunities. Regrettably, I caution Vienna parents against enrolling their children here, especially if they value a supportive and enriching educational experience.Having experienced other exceptional schools in Vienna, Louise Archer Elementary stands out as the worst my children have attended. The school's apparent lack of concern for fostering a welcoming community has made the transition challenging for my kids. The academic experience has been lackluster, with disengaged teachers and a curriculum that fails to cater to individual learning needs. I urge parents to explore alternatives that offer a more positive and nurturing environment for their children's education.Parent Review8mo ago - Oakton Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageVery poor communication between teachers and parents, not really friendly or caring staffing , other parents may have different experience but my experience with the kindergarten's teacher and staffing was very poor, also education system not good at all, the kindergarten teacher was very demanding and discriminating , I took my kid out and put him on private school and never will recommend this school at all!Parent Review1mo ago - Sunrise Valley Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have found the school to not be welcoming to new children. We recently moved from overseas and my child was bullied for being the new kid by a known bully (who is even known to the parents as the school bully). The school did not do anything for new students, and though my child has been ok, this has been a stark difference from our previous school where new children were made to feel welcome. My child has repeatedly said that American children are so mean. Academically, it seems like the teachers often phone it in and rely on iPads to do their teaching for them. We are working with our child separately to ensure academic progress because there don’t seem to be accountability nor standards in the classroom.Parent Review4mo ago - Crossfield Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter has been here at St. Mark from 4th -7th grade. She is immersed in faith and a challenging curriculum. She is so proud of her school that she wears her uniform and spirit wear almost all the time which is even more significant considering she is now 13. The PTPO is quite active and parent voice and support are frequently requested. She lost no learning during COVID due to the tenacious commitment to these kids physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental health. She’s excelled her whole time here. As a publicschool teacher, I am frequently asked why I send my child to St. Mark. It is such a beautiful environment for a child to be taught that they have a purpose in life and their faith will show them the way. While high academic and behavioral expectations are the norm, everything is taught within the faith world. It’s given my daughter a sense of purpose and greater confidence. It’s a faith and learning family at St. Mark. We have been so blessed to find this school. I only knew the public school world. In my experience, the public schools are adequate to fine; St. Mark is exceptional.Parent Review8mo ago
