Norview Middle School

This was my neighborhood school. It was disgusting. Some of the things I experienced here should have shut this school down and I had no education at all here.

I went to this school over 30 years ago, my oldest son went to this school, my youngest attends this school, my step children have attended this school and my daughter will soon attend this school. The teachers here really care about their students and communication is easy using class dojo. I can send a message and get a reply within the hour. We are kept up to date with assignments, forms needed, field trips, tests, events etc. My oldest son when he attended made honor roll, so does my current son that goes here. My son that currently goes does have an IEP and has additional support in the class room, everyone that supports him in school is friendly and very helpful and my son makes honor almost every quarter. I see the reviews about bullying but as long as you communicate with your child, their teacher etc its handled. The test scores I see aren't great for the school as a whole, hopefully it improves.

Larry Elementary School needs to adopt stricter policies on bullying, as it should never be tolerated. Parents must take responsibility for their children's actions and attend conferences. If students fail to improve, suspension should be considered.

I feel as if there is no social or peer support for students. I get contacted every day about stuff that a teacher should be able to handle. As a teacher, you should know that all students are not going to be the same and some may need more help than others, but that is no excuse to find any reason to kick him/her out of class every single day. I think the expectations of a four-year-old are a bit much at this school. I definitely think the environment is a little better than other schools in the area, but maybe for the older kids age group not so much the pre-K students.

So far so good! Only in prek4 however, my son loves all the teachers that he’s had so far— & he’s really excited for school.

The school is horrible and My granddaughter got bullied everyday and she got slapped by two girls
