Montclair Elementary School

This might be the worst pwcs school. THEY DECLINE STUDENTS AP COURSES. I'm a transfer student from forest park and when I came in, they wouldn't let me take my sophomore AP classes. Why? because my schedule was from another school. I had taken one AP my freshman year and all honers classes but they still wouldn't let me take them. They put me in all standard classes ruining my record. Don't go here because if you apparently aren't a student from the day the school was built, they will mess your whole year and future college app up

This is an excellent Elementary school, my daughter is happy going there. The staff is friendly.

My daughter went to this school for one and she was heavy bullied by somebody with a disability she was slapped hit and she's also disabled. school never took matters correctly into hands. told my daughter to ignore the bullying. my daughter suffered 1 stroke. from the underlying stress and thousands of freezes up meaning she couldn't move her body I gave the school doctors notes everything for them to stop the bullying but wouldn't because the student had a behavior problem. my daughter was having so much anxiety it was terrifying. I can't believe what this school put my daughter through. and when she finally fought back after being hit multiple times with things inside PE. she defended herself. she got suspended and was told to apologize? in front of the whole school for her actions. actually, I'll never recommend this school to ANYONE. and my daughter told everything to teachers the head they did nothing but talked it out which didn't work at all. worst school my daughter has ever been to more like a prison.

My niece has been at this school since k5. She is a 5th grader and all we can say is thank Heavens she's out of there. She has dealt with bullies every year. This year the teacher was on the list of bullies. A te her who allowed a bully to take her things without holding it in her desk until she found out the truth. What teacher doesn't know what her students have.... also a boy to hit my niece u til she hit back then something was said. What teacher doesn't show up to their own set conference? What principal doesn't know where her teachers are when a scheduled conference is happening Unfortunately the principal excuses all of these things including the fact that it's been an obvious showing of reverse racism this entire school year. Manners lack from the receptionist at the school, leadership should be of question from the top through the bottom. Even this last week of school a girl the same bully pulled my nieces hair with the teacher looking right at them. The school administration and principal and 5th grade teacher should be ashamed of themselves . The same bully my niece has dealt with all year long is the same girl threatening to beat her up the last day of school. No wonder she refused to go on a field trip with her class and opted NOT to want a class picture. Her words"There is NO ONE worth remembering" - couldn't agree more with the words of a 10 year old whose dealt with bullying and harassment and no leadership - thank heavens she is mentally stronger than the administration.

I love this school. The teachers and the staff are very sweet and professional. We moved from Europe when my daughter started first grade at the school. She did not know any English at the time. She will be fifth grade next year, and the improvement , she has succeeded is incredible. She passed very well her SOL tests, and in addition she was accepted to the gifted program. Further more, this school has free tutoring, which helps students to be on schedule for studying, and helps them to resolve not understanding material. In conclusion, as a parent, who would like a child do well in education, this school prepares students very well for Middle school academic. Thank you so much to the Principal and all the teachers.
