Read what parents are saying about George Washington High SchoolGWHS was once a great school, unfortunately, it has really slid downhill in the last few years. Academics are not at a very high level anymore, and there is a general lack of discipline in the school. There is a school resource officer there, in addition to several private security officers, but they can't be everywhere. There are often big fights, some that require police intervention, with charges being brought. The administration is weak, as is the school board. All in all, it will take a lot of hard work to make it great again.

Posted by a parent on 2/25/2015GWHS is the most horrible school in the city limits!!! The principal and staff there trys to go overboard ruling your child! Religion is not suppose to be in school, but if your not a christian they will do everything they can to get your child out the door!!! Take it from me, i've had three children go there and i have took them out and sent to another school.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have four children at Westover spanning from elementary to high school and have been tremendously pleased during out 10 years there. We wouldn't have our children anywhere else! We love that they are in a highly academic environment where every subject is taught from a Christian worldview perspective. The curriculum in elementary school is way beyond what you will find in the local public schools and the classroom size is typically quite small at 12-14 students per class.
