Atlantic Shores Christian School

This school is a joke. The administration does not hold teachers and assistant teachers accountable and the counselors are just as complicit in poor behavior. Do your children a favor and steer clear of this school.

Our student had a very mixed experience at this school, but overall 1 star due to the administration. Multiple incidents involving bullying and injury to our student , with zero consequences or action from administration, negligent behavior. Over the past year we had multiple incidents that were brought to the attention of admin, including another student breaking our student's bone, which was a very serious injury. No consequences for the other student and administration retaliated when we pushed for action/consequences. Was basically told that "boys will be boys". Our student did have 3 very good teachers during their time there, but also 2 teachers that were very rough. So overall, a very mixed bag of educators. I would definitely not recommend this school, with the current administration.

We enrolled our child at Veritas Collegiate Academy in the early years, and we stayed because it quickly became clear that this was a safe and steady place for growth. From the beginning, our child was known by name, welcomed with care, and encouraged to grow in confidence within a structured and supportive environment.Over the years, we have appreciated the consistency of the school’s expectations and culture. The academics are thoughtful and challenging, but they are held within classrooms that are calm, orderly, and kind. Teachers genuinely care about their students and take their role seriously, paying attention to both academic progress and character formation.Our child has been encouraged to listen attentively, grow in responsibility, and take on leadership and service in age-appropriate ways. This emphasis on maturity and contribution has helped our child develop self-control, confidence, and a sense of purpose at school.The work is meaningful and does require consistent effort, and we have spent many evenings working through assignments together, which has helped our child build strong habits and confidence.One of the greatest strengths of Veritas is its sense of community. Many families remain at the school for years, creating a feeling of continuity that allows children to grow up together in a way that feels increasingly rare. New families are welcomed naturally and supported as they find their place, which adds to the community rather than changing its character.We have also appreciated the school’s attentiveness to everyday needs. Teachers communicate clearly and respond thoughtfully, helping students feel supported and understood within the classroom.Veritas Collegiate Academy is not a perfect or effortless school, but it is a good and faithful one. We believe God clearly led our family to this school, and it has been exactly what we needed. We are deeply grateful for this place and the people who make it what it is.

My daughter has had an amazing experience there. GEC is family friendly, Christ centered, and a wonderful place to learn and grow. I cannot say enough good things about this school!

My daughter has attended Atlantic Shores from K-3 (since 2012) and will be a senior next year. We have absolutely LOVED our experience at Shores! The care of the teachers and administration have been excellent. My daughter has had strong academics that are setting her up for success in her college years. She also participated in sports, the arts, foreign languages and cultural experiences, student leadership, and spiritual growth. We would highly recommend Shores for students who would like a well-rounded experience taught from a Biblical world view. I have been very engaged in the school throughout and have not experienced or heard the negative experiences shared in other reviews. In the last 5 years, we have expanded our space to accommodate more students and families, increased safety in meaningful ways, and expanded our curriculum and extracurricular offerings. Couldn't find another better school. Love our Shores family!
