Phenomenal school. My third child is there now. Rising sophomore. 2/3 with iep/504. Amazing support. Love that many of the teachers are young males who can relate to my kids. (Who also went to Yorktown). The level of classes they offer really are better than some of the private schools in the area.

The school has multiple issues, such as teachers needing to be more cooperative with students and their unempathetic stance in seeing their students succeed

Posted by a parent on 11/10/2021APS has not been open for well over a year. No guarantee they will go back in person for an full school day in the fall. The online classes are not challenging. Kids will not be prepared anyone for college. The failure rate over last year is almost 30%. Go private.

Glebe really is a great school- with experienced, dedicated teachers, a very active PTA, and incredibly devoted administration. The student body is very diverse, but the school seems to excel in fostering an inclusive environment that celebrates differences while also creating a close-knit, family- like environment. 8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy three kids started at Jamestown in 2010 and my youngest just graduated in 2022 and we have been overwhelming thrilled. Yes, there were changes during that 12 year period but the school was always evolving for the better. The staff ALL work so hard and do such a good job of meeting the students where they are, supporting them, and helping them grow. Certainly there were a few teachers that maybe weren't our favorite but those never lasted long as the principal is so invested in the community. The building it was in now houses Arlington Traditional School, a different Arlington public elementary school. There are no McKinley teachers here, and no students. GreatSchools should remove this listing. It’s confusing to people. 9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis has to be the absolute worst school my child has ever attended. The facility is outdated and old. There are many young and inexperienced teachers. The quality of education your child will get will be poor. If I could go back in time I would do everything to have my child to attend a different school.
