7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe've been at the school a long time, 3 different Directors and lots of teacher changes. Most of the teachers are great! My kids have been challenged and given opportunities to move ahead, and others have received help to get them above where they needed to be. This was due to some pretty great teachers that had the best interest of my kids at heart. The Administration however, that's a whole other story. They don't hold the same standards for all kids. Some kids can break rules, bully, cause destruction and nothing is ever done. If it's brought up to the administration, they brush it off. The JH admin has been great, but I don't feel like most of the elementary admin is looking at what's in the best interest of the kids. It's all a power thing with them, and If you get on their bad side, good luck.Parent Review2y ago17 Reviews - Elk Meadows School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDo anything you can to avoid this school. This isn't our boundary school, my child tested into the Advanced Learning Program, and this school sponsored that program. They have learned less in this program than they did in their accelerated kindergarten program. At parent teacher conference, we were told our child was having a hard time sounding out words, but then the teacher realized they didn't have the right kids’ info in front and then didn't know what to tell us. We got state scores back and they came back far above the "advanced" section in all areas of reading, so we still aren't sure what the message was here. This isn't an isolated incident, there have been multiple kids that have left this class because the environment is so bad and multiple parents that have spoken to the principal about various issues that haven’t changed. The communication at this school is horrible, it's hard to know if they genuinely care about the safety of children or not. When there was a stabbing at a nearby school in 2023, they didn't notify parents about the school lockdown until the end of the day when we were picking up our kids; meanwhile, the other schools in the area had already let their parents know via email and phone calls as soon as they put their schools on lockdown earlier that day. In 2024 there was a gas leak at the beginning of the day, and they kept all the kids outside for an hour while they investigated and didn't tell any parents, we found out via Ring doorbell messages other parents sent to each other that our kids were standing outside while it was raining and snowing.I know there's a lot of pressure on educators and the school system is broken, but I am in a position where I send my child to a place, I don't think has their best interests in mind (learning or safety) each day. If your child is in ALPs consider a different school, and if this is your boundary school, see what you can do to get your child somewhere that they'll actually be taken care of.Parent Review2y ago1 Reviews - Welby School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWelby is great. Starting our third child this year and in my experience the facilities, administration, teachers and students have all been top notch. Keep it up! (I left the “special education” rating blank because I haven’t had any experiences there to comment from.)Parent Review1y ago13 Reviews - Copper Canyon School

They have made great friends, and love the extra curricular activities like cross country, choir, and early morning stem club.Parent Review2y ago16 Reviews
