Tison Middle School

If a student is a non white, they will be harassed continuously in the classroom, at lunch, on the bus, hallways, bathrooms, and athletics just because they are not white. The campus leadership is not diligent in handling the issue and some students decline academically, and emotionally. The whole Weatherford ISD tolerates non whites but they do not offer any protection or acknowledgement that it serves a diverse student population.

I am a student at this school. I loved Tison. Great teachers and a nice community. I do think some things could improve, like the quality of the furniture, but only by a little. Totally recommend.

Not favorable experience especially for new students. Academically it's very poor. No signs of improvement.

The new principal is great. Leadership has improved steadily.

I saw a few of the previous remarks and wanted to add my input. I am a parent of two students that currently attend Tison, one student has mild autism (special needs). As far as the office staff goes, I think the only rude person I have encountered is the dark haired lady. She may be the attendance clerk? She is definitely not a people person. However, the new principal and admin. there is amazing. They check on my son and talk to him a lot. My kids love their teachers and coaches, especially the 7th grade Texas History teacher. They also have a phenomenal arts program. My son loved his choir teacher and art teacher, and my daughter loves her band and dance teachers. They are very talented and have helped the school win many awards. I think this school has hired great staff for the most part, and my kids are excited about learning and preparing for high school. No school is perfect, and teachers may sometimes appear overwhelmed or grumpy, but they sacrifice A LOT to connect with their students. I have not met a more loving and welcoming staff of people than I have at Tison, other than Mary Martin. All the schools are pretty great around here. We've been here for years. So, I would definitely recommend this school!
