Wedgeworth Elementary School

I am a past student and even when I was here it was a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE school, and now I know it still is. Certain teachers are nice and I still talk to them ( Shoutout to Mrs. Conway! ). But almost every day I was bored or upset some days I went to the bathroom crying and we were always a curriculum behind. The fifth grade class is so bad they fight teachers and stick up middle fingers and cuss for no reason. The kids here are very behind, I me and my friend went here together and are both kind of confused after leaving. If you are currently here leave ASAP I'm sorry for you...

This school has been a wonderful experience for our family. The teachers are caring and treat students like their own. The small group instruction and dyslexia support programs are exceptional and have helped my daughters thrive. They are academically challenged and supported, and the staff is consistently professional and dedicated. Highly recommend.

We could not be more grateful for our experience at First Christian Day School. All three of our children have been here for many years, starting as early as PreK 2, which is truly phenomenal. These past four years have been such a blessing to our family, and our kindergarten experience in particular has been amazing.Both of our daughters have benefited so much from the small class sizes. The individual attention and one-on-one time they receive with their teachers has made a huge difference, especially in supporting their unique ways of learning and helping them build strong educational foundations.The culture of this school is incredibly tight-knit and supportive. Communication with teachers and administrators is outstanding—we are always informed, involved, and feel completely at ease as parents. We truly feel like partners in our children’s education and are consistently updated, which brings us so much peace of mind.We love how involved families get to be. From field trips and special events to Christmas programs, special themed days, and even days that include grandparents, First Christian Day School does such a beautiful job of building meaningful community and memories for the entire family. Our children have soared academically, and it’s clear that the school holds a very high standard of education.Most of all, we deeply love the culture of faith at this school. The love of God and Jesus is woven into every part of the day—from PE to music to lunchtime. It’s not just chapel day or religion class; it’s a daily culture of reminding children that God is in everything they do. That foundation has meant the world to our family.We are so thankful to be part of First Christian Day School and highly recommend it to any family looking for excellence in education, faith, and community.

From the day we did our first meeting with Mercy Prep and their awesome staff, we knew this is where God wanted us to be. We currently have two students enrolled (3 next year) and we couldn’t be happier. The teachers & admin truly care about their students, their education and their relationship with Christ. After two years of attending, I feel like I’m dropping my kids off with family when I leave them at school. We appreciate the support and open communication this school provides. Both our children are being challenged and thriving. There is also so much fun to be had with different activities throughout the year where families are always welcome to join. We highly recommend doing a tour and seeing what sets this school apart.
