Read what parents are saying about Byron Nelson High SchoolThis school sucks, fights almost daily that are covered up by administration, bullying allowed and also perpetrated by coaches. Violent conduct barely punished, those students allowed to attend after multiple attacks. Drug use rampant. It is a horrible school in an affluent area, those with more get the best - those with less get ignored at best.
Posted by a parent on 3/21/2023This is a wonderful school. I had to switch districts, and Byron Nelson is the best school there is. Way better than my other school.
Posted by a student on 9/15/2022I have a Sophomore and a Junior that are currently attending BNHS, as well as one child at the middle school. I can honestly say that they are getting an excellent education in a safe environment. Some of the sports teams are HIGHLY political, but I don't fault the school administration for that... some coaches are just that way. Dr. Myers does a marvelous job communicating with parents and I cannot imagine how difficult it must be to try and please the parents in this community. I'm a former teacher (different district) so I have something to compare BNHS to. Homework seems light to me, but my kids are definitely prepared for college and beyond since they're taking advantage of the AP, On-Ramp, and other supplementary programs that this school offers.
Posted by a parent on 8/4/2021I just transferred my daughter to this school. She said that the school is great and the teachers are very nice. She said the 45 minutes class is very productive. She loves learning at this school so much that 45 minutes for each class seems very short. She said it seems like a 20 minutes class. She likes all her teachers. She said that they are very nice and very helpful to her learning. She said the students are nice too. She met some weird kids, but she just ignored them. She is very happy that I transferred her to this school. She fits right in at Byron Nelson HS.
Posted by a community member on 1/15/2021My time at Byron Nelson was the worst 3 years of my life. Innocent kids in my class were oftentimes pulled out of the classroom and questioned and searched by the SRO, and they were almost always expelled from the school even if they didn't have anything remotely suspicious with them. My twin brother and I were HARASSED by the police at the school and consequently dropped out. If you don't fit Trophy Club's rich white cookie-cutter image, Byron Nelson and the Trophy Club Student Resource Officers will bully you until you leave. This school is an absolute joke.

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children love Cox Elementary! The teachers have high expectations, while also providing kids with the tools they need to be successful and meet those expectations. I can send my kids to school every day knowing they’ll be loved and taken care of.Parent Review1y ago - Premier Academy of Trophy Club
