Wilkerson Intermediate School

I love Wilkerson!!! The teachers/staff are amazing!! they all come together and work very hard for the students! This past Saturday they put on a fall festival and they out for there selves!!! it was so amazing!! They worked extra hard and overtime hours that volunteered to do! I can't say enough about this school!! You can tell they all love working there and they all act like a team!

This campus is amazing from top to bottom. The community they have with the students is something l've never seen. The amount of work and dedication the staff puts into the children makes the community special. My kids have thrived at the campus, I have three of them. I have taught in the district, but nothing holds a candle to the team that Josh Hughes is leading.He knows every child and establishes relationships with them. He is present and communicates with the community weekly. Well done, Wilkerson. We are eternally grateful.

I have had three children pass through Wilkerson Intermediate School. Now that I do not have a student there, I have been reflecting on their experiences and how they are doing now because of their time at Wilkerson. The boys were there a few years ago and it was great, but I believe the school is even better now that Mr. Hughes is there. He is kind and connects with every student. My daughter felt cared for by both teachers and staff. The counselors are extremely helpful and responsive to the students. My kids made many friends and have such fond memories. We miss Wilkerson and my children are lucky to have experienced this school.

Wilkerson Intermediate is a phenomenal school for students and their families. It is unfortunate that the Great Schools' ratings just accumulate over the years because past reviews do not provide an accurate picture of Wilkerson Intermediate today (2023-2023). Mr. Hughes and his amazing team of teachers and staff bring their best every day to make sure that each student feels respected, supported and valued. They provide an excellent, organized learning environment that challenges students without overwhelming them while also showing both kindness and compassion. They are quick to respond to any concerns that arise and go above and beyond when it comes to communication with parents. I am so thankful my child has the opportunity to attend a school that is striving for success while also putting students first.

My child has had an awesome experience at Wilkerson. Great leadership and wonderful teachers. The band program is excellent!
