NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur family's experience with the PG Elementary School & the PG Middle School was not favorable. My 5 year old son has Asperger's Syndrome & ADHD. The teachers & administrative staff at the elementary school were not accommodating or helpful at all. Most of the time they just sent him to the office and asked us to pick him up, even after we developed an IEP based on a 504. The school staff did not seem willing to help beyond what they felt they had to legally. My 11 year old son was bullied continuously for two years, even after many meetings and phone communications with the middle school staff. Both of my sons dreaded going to school @ Pleasant Grove. So, after we exhausted all resources with this school, we moved them to Texarkana ISD where they are excelling and are happy. My wife attended Pleasant Grove ISD for 6 years in the 1980's and she has the same outlook on this school. We were expecting more from a newer school that has high school tax rates and found our satisfaction lacking.Parent Review12y ago
