Read what parents are saying about Sugar Land Middle SchoolI go here and now, I think the school is getting dumb and dumber. The teachers can't control fights and there's a always fights going on, people getting caught with drugs , and all that. The teachers are slacking a little in my opinion, and I might transfer to garcia ms.
Posted by a student on 3/19/2017I have been pretty new to SLMS the school is great and all, if you have the correct friends, the teachers are my least favorite like the math ones, multiple quizes per week, mostly 1-3 and the Pre AP one barely teaches the material and just tells you to take notes, but when he does teach he makes it very easy to understand, my ELA Pre AP teacher gives way too many projects, she also makes us do projects on all of our library books making it extremely hard for some to focus on the book itself, but overall I enjoy the school mostly

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you have custody issues, do not expect this school to follow the law, including restraining orders, or signed documents from a judge. The front office staff is extremely and absolutely some of the most disrespectful, trashiest and ignorant women I've had the displeasure to meet. This school is horrible for children and especially for mothers. Heed my advice and send your children elsewhere. The principal, Alena McClanahan needs to find work in another profession. She completely disregards the law.Other Review6y ago - Sugar Mill Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is great. The front office staff are super nice. When events happen at the school, they are organized. The principal and assistant principals are very engaged and actively involved. Even when they hosted 2 other elementary schools in the school building, there was barely any disruption to the BPE process. Everything was smooth and everyone was helpful to ensure no parent feels like they do not know what they're doing. My kids' teachers are responsive to emails and look like they genuinely care about my kids' learning progress and their social life as a whole. The admins are doing a great job exemplifying what leadership is about. I see them walking students, interacting with students, helping out during drop off and pick up. It's amazing, really.Parent Review1y ago - Rita Drabek Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy oldest is a current student at FBCA. We've been very pleased with the rigorous academics, the fantastic enrichment classes and teachers and, of course, benefits such as small class sizes. FBCA also has the most diverse student population of any private school option in the area that we looked into. Furthermore, we've been impressed by the balance that FBCA offers with respect to academics and a high level of participation in athletics and strong fine arts programs in order to promote an overall balanced educational environment (and great college applications).Parent Review8mo ago - God's Rainbow Christian Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a parent of a student at this school and plan to send my youngest here once he is old enough. The school has been fantastic for my student and our family. We've been thoroughly impressed with the academics and enrichment opportunities for our child and we've seen phenomenal results from the upper school students that have graduated from this school. The school does a great job of balancing rigorous academics as well as a high level of participation in sports and fine arts programs.Parent Review8mo ago
