Stay far from this school and area. Teachers are not patient with kids and humiliation is a bullying tactic they use at this school. Do not recommend at all

The area surrounding the school is very diverse, primarily with well settled highly educated families that have traditional Asian values and high emphasis on academics. However, the area it serves is a very expensive and affluent one, so the kids and parents are very entitled. This definitely affects the kids, Ive seen students who look down at peers who live in apartments and are very quick to be materialistic. They also have little concept of expressing gratitude or showing the concept of community. Despite how academically ambitious the students are usually here, they are not that well rounded. Another thing I observed is resulting from how entitled the parents are, they seem to bully teachers who are more stern and uphold high academic standards. They can be quick to interrogate teachers about their child's grade then proceed to be disagreeable if the child does not get the grade to the parents liking. Lastly, due to how popular FBISD has been and budget cuts, you can expect large class sizes of 25 - 30 kids. All that being said, it is one of the better public schools in the state nonetheless, but of course, make sure you do your due diligence as a parent and community member.

Cambridge Montessori School has been an amazing educational experience for two of my children. Collectively they attended CMS for 3 years. The one thing that stands out to me about CMS is how family oriented they are. They do a great job of connecting with their families and organizing such fun events throughout the school year. My children's Primary teachers did a wonderful job of building a strong academic foundation, as well as supporting their development and learning. We absolutely love the director, Ms. Monica, and all the admin staff and teachers. We loved our time at CMS, and highly recommended it as an excellent Montessori school.

Our family has been incredibly fortunate to be a part of Sugar Mill Montessori School. From the moment we walked through the doors, it was clear this is more than a school- it's a nurturing, inspiring, and supportive community. The dedication of the teachers and staff to fostering both academic excellence and personal growth is unmatched. Ms. Monica, Ms. Katie, Ms. Iesha were always so positive and simply a joy to see as you enter the building! They were always so helpful, informative, positive, and we never once questioned leaving our daughter in the staff's care. To top it off it was truly impressive that these ladies knew ALL of the students by name!Our child was in the toddler classroom-with lead teacher Ms. Lorena (when I tell you she is absolutely phenomenal, my daughter loved her- she loves those babies, and they all love her) Ms. Leydi, Ms. Sonia, Ms. Trayci are also teachers in this class, and they provided the same nurturing and thriving environment for the students. These ladies truly are passionate about the care and support that they provide to the students, and it shows day in and out. Our daughter has thrived in every way possible-they have fostered her love for learning, strong friendships, and the confidence to tackle new challenges. The curriculum is thoughtful and engaging, and the extracurricular activities have truly enriched our child's experience. We also enjoyed the involvement that they provide to the parents. (Family nights, Festivals, Child education to name a few)The sense of care and genuine interest in each student's success shines through in everything the school does! While we are heartbroken to be moving, we will forever be grateful for the positive impact this school has had on our daughter and our family. We cannot recommend Sugar Mill Montessori highly enough and know it will continue to shape and inspire students for years to come.Thank you for everything! We will truly miss being here!

Both the primary and college prep campus are very poorly managed. For years I have seen this campus get worse, with crowded class, aggressive attendance policies, 30+ kids per class, relying heavily on state tests and student enrollment for funding, and mostly disgruntled teachers. Parents, you are late to pick up your child, you are fined even on early dismissal days. Pay extra for afterschool program? It only has one teacher handling PreK to 8th grade crammed into one room and with the students snack being borderline expired chips. Pay for school meals? School lunches are cheap low quality sysco catering. While the new College Prep campus is actually one of the nicest built campuses in the SST network, it is all for appeal because what goes on behind those doors is just for profit education and publicity stunts to reel in more funding. The reality is many parents enroll their kids into this school thinking it provides STEM only education but its just a run of the mill for profit charter school.
