San Marcos schools are generally the worst. The only good school in town is Crockett. It's a great elementary school with great teachers and great students. As soon as my son finishes 5th grade at Crockett this year we are moving to New Braunfels. I highly recommend this school to other parents. But

The school is small and facility inside the school is open for business not for students using ( swimming pool ) . Everyone here is super friendly and always going above and beyond for the kids. If you are looking for a school that's great academically, socially, and spiritually then this is the school you have been looking for. If you have a child with special needs they may be able to accommodate depending on your child's need. It is at overcapacity and both teachers & students are stressed. Very few are meeting the bare minimum math and reading proficiency. That is also because of the middle school’s This high school is geared more as a trade school.
