Test scores are EXTREMELY LOW, with nothing being done systemically to make improvements. Harlandale ISD is an open district, so if you care about the education of your children DO NOT send them to
Posted by a teacher on 6/14/2022I am so shocked at how this school handles certain situations. My son is a sixth grader and was in a dual program in elementary . Leal did not provide tutoring so had to pull him out. Teachers are unaware , front office rude. Switched schools, just awful . Do not recommend .

The biggest issue is the parent pick up.The school does not provide enough staff to direct traffic and help the students cross. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is amazing. Considering we are in a low income area, the faculty here seems to really care about the kids. Although I don't always agree with some punishment techniques (ie. writing lines) the overall feel of the school is positive. They have some amazing math teachers and a caring and wonderful music/art teacher. My children love it there. The Principal is too busy in “meeting” to contact and let us know what was going on and how they are going to fix the situation. We leave messages and don’t get a calls back.
