I love,love ,love this school. Thank you to every teacher, thank you for the work they put into their students, my daughter loves this school and we, her parents, are among them, a deep bow to you, dear teachers. A huge thank you to the bus drivers. It's a shame that we're moving, my daughter, when she started attending this school, didn't know a word of English, a month later she already understood everything and her grades were excellent, there's so much I want to tell you, but I can't put it into words. Thank you.

My son was sent to this school for his summer school. He was so excited to go to summer school. After, the first day, I ask him how his day went. He told me that "the principal said I am too expensive to be in summer school". I asked him why would the principal say that. His response was "I don't know, may be because I am the only student with a brown face in my class". There was a mix up in his summer school registration and he had to be with the principal for a while that first day, until things were sorted out. To say I was shocked was an understatement. Why a principal would make such statement to a child (he's PreK) baffles me. I followed up with that principal, she apologized and said she couldn't remember saying something like that to him. But he had a very nice experience with his teacher. When I asked about his teacher, he responded "My teacher is really nice and is not like my principal". He didn't want to go to the school the next day until I assured him that he wouldn't be with the principal again. Thankfully, he's not a regular student in that school and I can't wait for him to finish the summer school and leave the school

* Poor organization in administration/office* Lack of communication from office to teachers/parents* Inconsistent rules/policies not followed* Lack of supplies/teachers expected to provide supplies for their own classrooms* Administration is emotionally and spiritually manipulative--lies, accuses, and is incapable of admitting to any mistakes* Parents who are friends with administration or donate money are allowed to get away with whatever they want, even harassment* Administration does not support teachers* Building is old and run-down, and repairs are sloppy and do nothing to increase safety* Students are not supported when they need extra accommodations or additional therapies* Students with a history of violence in school are enrolled by administration--this information is not disclosed to teachers and no useful support is provided by administration* Lots of promises are made by administration, few are kept* If you dare to speak out about problems, you will be targeted and treated poorly* Do not work here, do not put your children in school here.

Fantastic school that has ‘saved’ my child. Shady Oak follows empirically validated literature on what is developmentally appropriate for child learners (unlike public schools which cater to funding$$$, and parochial schools which focus on religion, morals, policies). Excellent school. My child has improved reading dramatically here and is at ease. The environment is inclusive and structured, yet promotes independence. I wish more schools focused on the social/emotional development as much as they do academics. Our kids would be in a much better spot holistically speaking.

My daughter was enrolled last school year in PreK3, and our experience was very wonderful. Our daughter really looked forward to going to school every day to learn something new. She did not even want to go home because she loved interacting with her classmates and teachers. The extended daycare program was also incredibly fun for her as well. The supportive and nurturing of the Christian community was greatly felt by us. The classroom set up was comfortable. It had organized learning centers that were safe and clean. My daughter is also enrolled this school year. I highly recommend this school.

i loved this school sadly i was only here for 5th grade when the school first opened the teachers made me want to come to school unlike my last school this school didn’t feel like a prison it is an amazing school beside one teacher who did make me feel lesser to other students because i did have a hard time with school because of a slight learning disability which was not recognized by the school which is fair but i was getting treatment for it (speech therapy provided by the district) but over all its a great school 10/10 would do again
