Sherry and Paul Hamm Elementary School

My children have been going to Dobbs for the past several years and we absolutely love it here. Teachers care, administration is supportive, and my children are learning. The PTA is great too!

I can’t say enough positive things about this school or Mrs. Cerra. Terribly sad we had to move out of the district. Our daughter was cared for, learned more than I did after 1st grade, and was kept engaged. I really don’t expect we’ll find another teacher or school of this caliber any time soon.

Highly qualified staff ... demanding, expecting, caring , and adding new technology skills and projects at each grade level. Research projects are introduced in Kindergarten. New organizational skills and homework are introduced from Kindergarten -Sixth Grade. It was almost as if each teacher was "hand picked" for my child's needs.

This is a fantastic school with great staff.

Hays is a wonderful school with a top notch staff. There is not another school I would want to send my kids to. It is funny that a couple of the posts above mine contradicted. One said there was way too much homework and one that said there was not enough. I have 3 kids at Hays. Each one had homework but not too much. We have had few problems, but as soon as I brought attention to them, they were promptly taken care of. To the poster that said her child was bullied, the staff has sent out multiple things over the years stating that they will not tolerate it. Kids will be kids but if you didn't bring it to the teacher's attention...don't blame it on them. No school is perfect but Hays is as close as you get!!!

In 2012 we opened our first location in the down town area, it was a charming location, that we felt signified the type of school we are. After the first year with tremendous growth, we realized we needed a larger location. The following summer we moved to our current location that is 4 times larger then the previous. The new location allowed us to have a in-door open gym, a must have for children with autism.
