Nolan Ryan Junior High School

The front desk staff is rude, and will make it obvious that they don't like you.I handle everything through Nolan Ryan Junior High for now, and am dreading my eldest going to high school and forcing me to deal with Marek's admin staff again.

My daughter started at this school in 3rd grade, and unfortunately our experience has been very disappointing. The teaching style has not been effective for my child, and after speaking with other parents, it seems many students are struggling in similar ways.My daughter also experienced bullying, which was extremely concerning. What upset me most was the lack of communication from both the teachers and principal. I received no updates or support until I physically went to the school myself to address the situation. As a parent, I expected better communication, accountability, and support for students.I truly hope the school takes parent concerns more seriously and works on creating a safer and more supportive environment for all children.

This school is terrible. Safety is non existent. The principal is terrible and doesn’t really care for the children. The walker personnel haven’t been outside until 7:25am when school starts at 7:15am. The principal will abandon the students. The staff are always using their phones. Family engagement is ok but still terrible, if a student has an IEP they are totally dismissed. Kids of color won’t get the best hand in this school AT ALL. They love to tell me “they have 80 students to watch “ that’s YOUR job. They do the bare minimum absolutely.

Teacher communication and follow up is very poor. Please review the school harassment and bullying policy and don’t let them gaslight you into believing it’s “hormones” or whatever. Harassment and bullying in any form isn’t right.

An amazing school that truly teaches well. My daughter graduated from this school and is excelling in public kindergarten. My second son has been attending for two years, and we will be sending our third son as well in a heartbeat.
