Read what parents are saying about First Baptist Christian AcademyAs a teacher and a parent at this school I am confident that when I send my little ones to school each day they are protected, prayed over, educated and shown God. There’s no where else I’d send my kids.
Posted by a parent on 6/22/2023FBCA has the same issues and problems that are found in public schools. The difference is, at FBCA, the teachers' hands are tied in addressing the problems and can walk along side the students and families to help students and disciple them through hope and faith in Christ. The academics are better than public school since teachers do not have to "teach to a test" and can prepare students for college. The new administration is holding teachers accountable to academic excellence, which is harder to do than the lazy fill the class time and put a grade in style that previously existed. My child has had good teachers and "please, God, get us through this year" teachers but has learned and grown each year. The smaller classes allow students to receive the help and teaching needed. We will continue with FBCA through our child graduating.
Posted by a community member on 6/13/2023First Baptist Christian Academy has been a huge blessing to our family. All three of my sons have gone through the Early Learning Academy and are currently working their way through the elementary school. My husband has been a secondary teacher at FBCA since 2018, teaching junior high and high school students. They work hard to cultivate administrators and teachers who are not only qualified to lead and teach, but who live out their faith inside and outside the classroom. FBCA is more than just a school, it’s a family. All of my kids feel at home and feel loved by their teachers and the administrators. The academic offerings are excellent, but FBCA also offers opportunities for extracurricular activities like sports, music, arts, missions, clubs, and spiritual development. I firmly believe the leadership changes that have taken place over the last couple of years have taken the school in a positive direction. These changes have brought a higher level of educational experience, professionalism and accountability to the school and to the teachers, which I appreciate. Change is hard and will always breed discontentment for some; but change also brings opportunities for growth and advancement, and encourages innovation. No place is perfect because we are all imperfect people, but I truly believe this school and the people in it are trustworthy and have my family’s best interest in mind both educationally and spiritually. We are excited to continue our educational journey at FBCA and can’t wait to see what’s next!
Posted by a parent on 5/26/2023My 3 boys have attended FBCA for the last 3 years. I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the exceptional education and nurturing environment they provide for all three of my boys. The teachers that have taught my boys have all had a major impact on their academic and spiritual development. The teachers and administration at FBCA truly embodies, the Christian values we want for our family. The dedicated staff and teachers go above and beyond to ensure each student's holistic development, fostering not only academic excellence but also strong moral character and spiritual growth. The small class sizes allow for personalized attention and meaningful connections with both teachers and peers. The curriculum strikes the perfect balance between rigorous academics and biblical world view teachings, creating a well-rounded educational experience. Moreover, the school's commitment to community service and outreach programs instills a sense of compassion and empathy in the students, preparing them to become responsible global citizens. I wholeheartedly recommend First Baptist Pasadena Christian Academy to any parent seeking an outstanding education rooted in Christian principles, where their child can flourish academically, spiritually, and socially.
Posted by a parent on 5/26/2023Having taught for 6 years at FBCA, I can truly say that the goal of FBCA is to train students in academic excellence with a biblical world view. I love the community of teachers I work with because each teacher loves God, loves students, and loves education. The administration works hard to provide us all the materials we need to teach and leads by Christlike example. The students are a delight to teach. They come excited to learn and ask thoughtful questions. I can recommend FBCA without reservation. God is at work here.

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLiterally my daughter came from Jensen elementary because at that school they didn't let her go to the bathroom but my daughter decided to come to Turner elementary and now she feels happy and before she had a different demeanor about her when she was at that school. My daughters teacher Mrs Phillips is so nice and caring. The only thing I didn't like was the counseling.Parent Review1mo ago - Golden Acres Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is the absolute worst. I don’t recommend bringing your child to this school. The front office staff is rude and unwelcoming. College Park is unorganized and it needs structure. The curriculum is absolutely terrible! On top of that, they have the worst bilingual program. This district should really consider removing the bilingual program since they obviously don’t care about it.Parent Review5mo ago - Jennie Reid Elementary School
