Read what parents are saying about Mckinney High SchoolMy third daughter is there now, the other two are Texas A&M students. Great experience in mostly advanced classes(AP, dual, pre AP), great teachers, and spirit is high there whether they are higher education focused students or not.

Posted by a community member on 10/4/2023The new principal and her new rules are making the kids lives awful. I would not recommend this school at all. Go to Boyd or North, but not here. My kids have 1 yr and 2 yrs left. Mainly my daughter is the one we are concerned about, but luckily after this year she goes to college and then we are moving to get my son out of this school. Out of the school district is our main goal. Elementary and middle schoolers get to start their mornings off later when they are not the ones not getting enough sleep, but high school kids that have to be up finishing so much homework barely get any sleep as they have to be up by at least 5:45am to get to school, so they are usually so tired they can barely concentrate and they are the ones that need to get good grades for college. It is just awful. Also, giving kids homework during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring break is ridiculous. Does this school not understand the meaning of the word break? This is just an awful school and awful district.
Posted by a parent on 8/12/2023not a good environment for anyone's mental health, whether it be teachers or students. the treatment that I have received from many teachers, other staff, and a multitude of students has caused me to consider alternative options to being alive. Not only am I treated this way, but many other students and even teachers are as well. All of this does not mean that the school is 100% bad. I have met people that I consider friends and have found a support system among a select few teachers. However, many of these teachers are leaving. Due to the treatment that they receive from the students and higher staff such as the school board and others, many of them have opted to move to other cities with the hope that they can find better jobs. While this school is not all bad, I do believe that it is nowhere near a good environment to raise children in at this time.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMcKinney Christian Academy is a wonderful place for students to excel and expand both academically, as well as Biblically. Our children have had the opportunity to attend the school for two years, in both Lower and Middle school (our oldest will enter Upper school this fall). We truly have nothing but positive things to say about our time at MCA. The staff at the school truly care about the students’ growth (spiritually and academically); this shows as they continually provide unique experiences for the students to delve into real world academics (math, science, history, English, art, etc.), all through a God-focused environment. As you see the abundance of college acceptances on display as you leave the campus, you are reminded how important it is that we remain diligent in teaching our students through Jesus Christ. Our students are going to leave our home one day; we must ask ourselves, “Did we prepare them to leave and remain focused on Him?”. Proverbs 22:6 says “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart”. McKinney Christian Academy is THE place that partners with parents to foster that training.Parent Review10mo ago - First Baptist Learning Center
