Mansfield Legacy High School

The school is pretty good overall, but there are quite a few staff members who don’t know how to talk to parents. They speak as if everyone should know the expectations, procedures, & standards for events and the overall communicatory tone can be condescending. I’ve had a hard time getting basic answers/explanations to questions although my student(s) did not start the school year at Ponder.

They teachers care so much for the kids and work endlessly to get them where they need to be academically and socially. They provide so many opportunities for families to participate in student learning and partner with the PTA to bring so many extras to enhance the student’s education. The enrichment team is amazing and really focus on highlighting each student’s strengths. We are so proud to be Boren Bears!

I have two kids that go here we have been here a couple years and last school year was the best I've ever seen in a school ,the environment was great since they have gotten a new principal it was significantly decreased , the principal seems very standoffish very to herself never see her engaging with any children which really upsets me as a parent seeing how last year was so different at this rate a lot of parents may leave , I really hope some upper admin can how her how to talk to parents since it seems she's too scared to speak to them at all this is so upsetting since I myself grew up in Mansfield ISD schools and this is not the way it should be I really hope some improvement on this the teachers don't seem as happy as they were last year very upsetting

Do not send your child here.On the first day they didn’t even know who my child was and put her in a class of 3 year olds. When I said something about the end of day report app the director said they do t use it for 3 year olds. I said well she is 2…. The two year old class was clearly too full. The infant class smells terrible. The floor and walls are sticky and drawn on.Director is not welcoming and seems in a rush or irritated by parent interactions with her. Lastly they let someone take my child from the school without checking her Id or if she was even on the list. All of this happened in 3 days.This place is cheap and unorganized. I wish I could get my money back but Tonya hasn’t called me back. I want to report this negligence to the state as well on Monday. BEWARE!!!
