Terra Vista Middle School

We have two children at this school that have been there since Kindergarten and one more starting this Fall. We have had excellent teachers, a good relationship with the principal and all staff. They are simply phenomenal!

I feel that my experience with North Ridge Elementary School has not been very great, and that the staff could be more welcoming, and also fix they're attitudes when parents ask too speak with the principals. The staff could work with they're communications skills when something happens even if it is a small issue, I say the principals need more training on how too deal with bullying and the school district should have them train on how too also involve both parents when they're is a bullying situation with any children, they need too also have a policy about no bullying on the school property, and kids should be suspended or have ISS after school and having a lesson with the child that is bullying another child. Teachers should be teaching them it is not okay too bully in they're classrooms or gym or recess and in lunch or anywhere on the school property, teachers and other staffs should do something if they see any child or adult bullying anyone on the North Ridge Elementary property. I describe the community as okay but again working on communication skills, and bullying. Myself, and my husband feel that our son has grown with his teacher, but we do feel that teachers do not get much help when it comes too the students needing help with a bully the principals do not take the bullying seriously it's like they don't want too call right away too the parents when it happens right then and there they would rather have the child wait till the end of school is out then the child gets home and they break down and cry then the child tells they're parents what happened too them. North Ridge Elementary needs too have training on bullying and communication skills!

Love the staff, how involved parents are here. My girls love it. It feels like a safe school and that is reassuring

Not good! My son has been labeled as what they see fit like they're certified doctors, and can diagnose issues. Labeling my son from the start only holds my son back from learning. With their own beliefs comes their own way of dealing with it. I've repeatedly asked them not to self diagnose my son, for it to only fall on deaf ears. The teacher has even grabbed my son by the face, and when we took it to the "top" we were bullied (yes, bullied!) into taking our son back to this teacher. I take my son into school every morning, and the principal always looks at me rudely. These reasons are why I rate my experience with this school as a bad one.

Our children are new to this school and have been welcomed with open arms! Loving environment with administrators that work hard daily!

My son's entire demeanor has changed at this school, and he has really enjoyed the classes. I do think that not all of the administration and teachers seem invested in their students, but I appreciate the one's who are.

We live down the street from an elementary school in LISD but made the decision to transfer our two kids into Frenship ISD. We love Legacy. The Principal and Vice Principal really care about the kids. All of the teachers are awesome and PTA is supportive. Friendly staff too. Don't regret our decision.
