N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAlpine Christian Academy is by far the best choice in childcare for the Longview area. I have tried a few places in Longview with ACA being my permanent destination until my children are school age. The love the teachers and administrators show for the children are not comparable to any other in Longview. I feel such a relief to know that as I leave my children everyday for a very long school day, I have such a strong sense of comfort knowing that my children are 100% taken care of. What a relief for a full-time working mommy! Most important, though, is the Christian education and Godly love that these children learn and feel in this environment. God is present in the school and you can see the heart of Jesus when you encounter these teachers. Thank you ACA for loving on not only my kiddos but also my husband and I as we allow you to help us raise our children! God is good!Other Review8y ago - Trinity School of Texas

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt was a challenge to get real help in public schools. We decided to invest money into LCS. Our oldest is doing so much better in a small classroom and learning about her faith in God. Our youngest felt a lot of pressure at a prep school so we decided to invest in LCS. She had some adjustments but we feel that she learns more with a book at LCS than just worksheets at the prep school. We weren't worried about the STAAR test but my oldest could not pass the STAAR and my youngest mastered it twice. LCS doesn't put emphasis on testing. They help the kids work as a group and learn life skills. They also get plenty of fresh air during the day. My youngest is running track at LCS. My oldest had back surgery so she is participating in PE for now. LCS offers dual credit courses with LeTourneau college. I am really happy with high school service work. My daughter joined AMBUCS. She learns about working hard and taking care of the community. We had a Mud Run that we just started last year. We raise money for the school and ask corporations for their financial help. We have athletics at LCS and the gym looks great. Most of the sports tournaments have now shifted to the Dallas area. The kids save money for their senior trip. They sell candy and soda for fundraisers. I'm proud of these kids learning about themselves and helping others. The classrooms are usually 10-20 kids. They have a uniform code. I hope we get to debate the uniform code because of supply chain problems.Parent Review2y ago - St. Mary's Catholic School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is the worst school I have ever had to deal with. We move around A LOT with my husbands job so we have been in many schools but this one is TERRIBLE!! The staff is rude and you can hear teachers yelling at kids from down the hall. It's not safe because they hardly ever lock their doors. I have always been my kids home room teacher to help in anyway I can. Not at this school though.. I'm not even allowed to go past the office. Much less walk them to their rooms or help! We moved late in the year and my son was in school TWO weeks before I had any clue of where his class was or who his teacher was!!I tried to have them transfered to another Longview Elem. and was told that because my kids are the minority (white) that they can not transfer to any other school. If they had been the majority of the school they could!! So we are now homeschooling because there's no way my kids will ever go back there!!Parent Review10y ago - J L Everhart Magnet Elementary School
