Sterling Classical School

Leander ISD is the worst - funny how they say they are a destination district. The district definitely changed after Troxell left, learning went from fun and educational to liberal lefist emotional indoctrination. No spelling is taught after 2nd grade, grades that were to start in 3rd grade went away, and the dress code is non-existent. What a horrible experience, our nation has doomed our next generation by plaguing this epidemic with no sytle of teaching the basics anymore.

Both our kids are attending CCMason for past 2 years. We were apprehensive of the school in the beginning given the ratings but our fears quickly vanished. The teachers are absolutely wonderful and genuinely care about the kids. Highly recommend this school for anyone looking for nourishing environment that fosters growth mindset.

My son has been at Knowles since first grade. Previously, we were at a charter school, but I felt like he wasn't getting his needs met with such large classes. We decided to tour our zoned school(Knowles), and were pleasantly surprised. Initially, I had reservations due to the school's scores, but we absolutely love our school. My son is in dual language, and it has been incredible. We've been blessed to have wonderful teachers every single year. In addition, he's had teachers help him one-on-one in order to improve his Spanish and get on grade level. The communication from the campus is great, although I'm still getting used to Parent Square. The class sizes are really good, and I feel like his needs are met. I also love that he has two teachers for different subjects, as it's teaching him to work with different personalities. He's also had wonderful friends and no behavioral problems in the classes. Overall, we're super pleased. All of his specials teachers are great as well, and especially his Quest teacher, Ms. Minardi. We appreciate our principal and the office staff. They're easy to work with and communicative in the past when any issues have arisen.

Drop off is the worst here. Ive been skipped over at least times dropping my son off where they open the door for you. Teacher so far is okay better than the last school. Everything else sucks. The front desk lady is rude, drop off women are rude and no one knows how to drive.

I was a student at Harbor Leadership Academy for 6 years. I graduated back in 2018. That school and the people there basically saved my life. I was diagnosed with autism at age 13. And I didn’t know how to control that or how to live with it. The people there showed me how to do both of those things. They have systems that made going to school there fun. If not for all that I might not be here right now. I’d be nothing if it wasn’t for this special school and their amazing staff. Thank you Harbor for your love and support.

My only regret is that we didn't learn about Harbor sooner. They have been incredibly helpful to out son who battles depression, anxiety and is on the autism spectrum. We've been in and out of public schools for years. The perfect fit was Harbor. They view each student as an individual, with unique gifts and challenges. I can't say enough about this wonderful school and even more so about the staff. The empathy, the flexibility and the tailored approach has been a game changer. It's been a God send for our family when we really, really needed it. It's rewarding but also very tough to parent a neuro-diverse child. Harbor is a true partner in that journey, helping to set each child up for success.
