4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have two special needs kids and Brookhaven has gone above and beyond to ensure their IEP and overall needs are being met. The office staff and teachers are super friendly and supportive. I find that they always make the time to listen to your suggestions or concerns. I love seeing the staff and teachers interact with the kids as most of them know them well. Being a volunteer at the school, I am able to see first hand the love the teachers have for their profession. They give them sack breakfast and sack “dinner” after school. My kid never got recess. Her teacher was always gone without updating parents as to why or what is going on. 8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHands down a fantastic elementary school, especially for being part of the Killeen school district.I have a fifth grader who has attended since kindergarten. He has loved all of his teachers and it’s insane how many teachers, counselors, and aides all remember his name and are always so friendly. They seem to care about all kids and every staff member I have interacted with is generally in a good mood. There is always a very active security person present on campus.There are SO many parent/student nights and various activities that your child can get involved in. Our favorite has been marimba (percussion instruments) band.
