ILTexas Katy Elementary School

I would not recommend this school if you are looking for a warm and caring environment. Administration focuses on all the wrong things and is not helpful to students or parents. There is a lot of favoritism for the students of families that have lived in the area a long time. Lots of staff members are related to each other creating an environment that is not fair to other staff members or students. Even though it is a small school the teacher turnover is high each year. Some teachers are amazing and do so much for their students but they are few and far between. My children have not been happy at this school with their teachers the past few years. The test scores of this school compared to others in the district leave a lot to be desired.

This was, without a doubt, one of the worst experiences we have ever had with a school. As a parent who was new to the area, I had no idea what to expect, and unfortunately, I deeply regret choosing this school for my son.I did not feel that my son received the academic support he needed, and his 5th-grade math teacher showed little concern for his academic progress. I also had serious concerns about the school's safety and overall level of competence. If you are considering this school for your child, I strongly encourage you to do your research and explore other options. I truly wish I had known more before enrolling my son here. Please send your babies elsewhere if you are able to.

“As a parent new to the district, my experience with this school has been extremely frustrating. The enrollment process was unclear, and I was not provided with guidance on how to register my child or access important systems (such as report cards or school communication platforms). When I reached out for support, the office staff and registration team were often short, unhelpful, and at times unprofessional in their interactions. Instead of feeling welcomed, I felt like an inconvenience.Communication overall is inconsistent. I have not received clear information about how to stay informed about my child’s progress or school updates, which is concerning as a parent trying to stay engaged.Schools should create a welcoming environment for families, especially those new to the district. Unfortunately, this school currently feels like a closed-door environment rather than a supportive community.I would not recommend this school at this time. There is a clear need for improved customer service, stronger communication systems, and a more intentional approach to welcoming and supporting families.

This school is like a big family. Teachers are dedicated and the students are engaged in all aspects mentally, spiritually and physically. We are blessed to have our daughter in this school. Parent

I absolutely love the education that is taught to my children. It is #1 school that provides activities and games that involves parents. Safety is extremely important to the school i dont think twice about my kids not being safe. Reading math and science pushed to the max from Kindergarten. Every teacher there not only providing high education but care for children like I do..
