I have 10 years working at Saint mary magdalene catholic school and i have seen the positive impact Ms. Goudeau brought to this school. Her open door policy gives me the opportunity to go in her office with my concerns and she always finds a solution to them. Ms. Goudeau has been a blessing for SMMC
Posted by a community member on 4/8/2026It Seems our school is driven by enrollment and money, not education or building faith. Our school has been going downhill for a few years now. Our Pastor left as well, and we miss his positive spirit around our community. At this point I recommend other Catholic Schools in the area.

But, I feel that they focus more on the elementary part, rather than the middle school part, which they should. We probably have about 80 kids in our middle school. But we only have 5 teachers, we used to have 6. So, now one of our teachers

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is my son's 1st year at RPE and he enjoys it. He attended skate night and it was a great turn out the teachers, principal and assistant principal were there, and very engaged with the students and parents. I did have an incident with my son being left behind the 2nd week of school but it was the daycare van that left him when he went to the restroom. The staff reacted quickly and I was contacted the next day by the principal regarding the matter because I had several questions. The staff was comforting and assured me several times it was an isolated incident and they are more vigilant. I know things happen, and I am just happy that the staff was comforting to me and ensured my son safety. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageA complete let down. Leaves your child behind if they aren't 'fast' enough with the program, and no such thing as help like tutoring. You'd think this was the type of school that says 'we won't leave a kid behind' and do something about it instead, like help them out? Nope, just out there on your own, on an island.... letting your child fail. OH! NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you’re looking to send your kid(s) to a private school, I highly recommend Christian Life Center Academy, our daughter graduated two years ago with a National Society of High School Scholars program and was also able to take dual courses at Lonestar College and if you’re looking for a daycare stop looking for one because they have a great daycare!
