6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTeachers are great, admin is beginning to make more presence. Great growing PTO. Very diverse. School seems to concentrate on character versus academics, not sure which is best. Could use better communication between teachers and parents, but I think they are working to improve that. Dual language program is fantastic. And contrary to previous comments, everyone there does speak English, but most are bilingual and able to assist those who do not speak fluent English. I love that parent events and material are in English and Spanish so information can reach everyone, fair and realistic. I drive my children 15mins each way to attend!Parent Review11y ago2 Reviews - Kings Manor Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI love this school! This school is definitely a school of God's.My two children have attended Christian School of Kingwood since they were both 1yrs. old! They are now in the elementary and preschool department. They challenge my children academically. The teachers are the most loving people! Yes, the move was difficult. However, as part of the CSK family, we pulled together and saw God's hand is in it!'n God is working in this school! The improvements over the summer are phenomenon! I am so lucky to have this school!Parent Review14y ago9 Reviews - St Martha Catholic School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSt Martha did not include my child as a 3 yr old. He went to another facility and thrived. He since has been in GT and all honors once at middle school. It concerns me because what was told toMe as a parent/ his ability/ and reason to kick him out of the program after 6 days has never been evident since. As an educator myself, it made it hard to listen in church about how all children deserve a Catholic education when I was trying to give my children that and was shown the door with my oldest. He actually had nothing wrong with him except the inability to sit in a circle for more than about 3-4 minutes. Which is totally developmentally appropriate. Yet I was told me after one day the teacher has red flags. As an educator and dealing with my 1st child I was alarmed and concerned. 4 days later I was met with the counselor about concerns and then I had an in person meeting with teacher, counselor, and myself. I was told that my son was not typical and needed help to participate in 3yr old activities. He would not walk in line and wouldn’t listen to the teacher. I was shocked! But talked with my son and tried to work with him. Then the next week, I was called that my son was having accidents in his underwear and was no longer allowed at St Martha’s- it was Tuesday so he could finish the week but would not be able to go from there. I immediately pulled him - put him back in Humble ISD preschool for employees and never had a problem with restroom or not being able to be developmentally ready for anything. This makes me sad because I always wanted to go to a Catholic school growing up and wanted to teach at one too, but not if the criteria is so inappropriate that they exclude children that are not severe issues unable to cope with. So, so disappointing… and I’m not the only one.Parent Review3y ago9 Reviews - Kingwood Christian Academy

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur son has been attending Pines Montessori for the last 12 years. He is now about to leave the school and enter high school. We could not have chosen a better place to have our child educated. He is well prepared for high school AP and PreAP classes. Each teacher he has had through our 12 years there has been caring and each is Montessori certified. Teachers provide excellent feedback when needed and nurture children through the stages of their life. If you are looking for a place for your child to be fully educated this is the school. Their approach is to teach the whole child and this results in children who are well adjusted in the educational environment. It's the best private school in Kingwood and the most beaufiful campus. As our time here comes to an end I am filled with so much gratitude toward the teachers and staff as I know our son is ready for public high shool and ready to make his dreams into a reality.Parent Review7y ago13 Reviews
