Read what parents are saying about Sutton ElementaryI have a very good experience with Sutton. The management and teachers work hard with the students and parents keeping in view of their ethnicity back grounds and their efforts shows on Students and in their performance.
Posted by a parent on 9/8/2018my son and daughter both attend this school and i love it they are so ahead for their age group and grade level. Posted by a parent on 12/2/2013I am enrolled in an Alternative Teacher Certification and came to observe Ms. Rougeau, Kindergarten teacher at Sutton Elementary. Ms. Rougeau reaches out to each type of learner. Every subject that she teaches is reinforced and retaught in a way so that no student is left behind. Every student can learn and truly achieve his or her full potential. Congratulations Ms . Rougeau!
Posted by a community member on 4/30/2013I am so glad my kids no longer go to this school. My son's teacher was out approximately 70% of the time and when I called the office to inquire, they said it was for required state training. I am amazed that my son passed with As and Bs with all the classroom commotion. I have to feel for the kids who might need extra attention because they won't get it. Oh, and if you speak English and not Spanish here, you will be overlooked (they cater to minority and are not open to each and every individual). Boo on them!

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is very weak academically you can see the results in the STAAR test. Your child will never be challenged the staff is very rude and never welcoming they couldn't careless about our children. I highly encourage you to tour the school before enrolling, the school is located in a very rough and poor neighborhood, most of us have no opportunity to move out and if you don't get a spot in the magnet lottery to attend another school you are without options. The PALS program from children with special needs is really bad both teacher and aids are not caring and always act like our children are a big burden for them. I would never recommend this school to anyone looking for a good education.Parent Review6y ago - Mistral Center For Early Childhood

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter is attending this school this year 2015-2016. Her teacher, Ms Olivares, is an outstanding teacher and always available to discuss with the parents. At Mitral my daughter has been exposed to knowledge in different areas including science, math, language, reading, and sports. I have interact with other teachers and personnel and I can tell that they look for the kids. There is a new principal, Mrs. Troutman, who is always available to help parents and child development. There are different activities to help develop the kids intelectual and social capability.I only can say good things about this school.Parent Review7y ago - Montessori Learning Institute

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth of my children were worn down from their previous schools. My husband and I sent them to MLI and their spirits were revived. Mrs. My Le Vo, the principal and founder of MLI, has a heart of pure gold. She loves each child as her own and encourages and builds their self-esteem and confidence. It is a small treasure of Southwest Houston. The only "downside" to MLI is that it only goes up to 8th grade.Parent Review1y ago - KIPP Connect Houston Pri
