Royalwood Elementary School

The only reason I gave this school 2 stars is because the principal is at least kind. The AP (Mitchell) is not a good leader overall. He is very judgmental and stereotypes automatically. He also will listen to the staff before he verifies issues with the child or the parent. Rude and very sarcastic is he. This year was my child's first year in a full day elementary and it has indeed been the worst. The Kindergarten class doesn't even get a graduation and when I asked earlier in the year they told me they weren't sure of the date. Absolutely unorganized. While they are a Galena Park ISD they have the mannerisms of a shutdown HISD school.

My son comes from HISD he finished off pre k knowing all his letters, letter sounds, and numbers up to 50. He can add and subtract single digit equations. He could also reas 2 letter words. All of this in pre-k at HISD! We then Move him to this school for kindergarten and he comes home telling they learning letter sounds only and they’ll stay on the same letter for days. My son says it’s super easy, and he gets bored. I don’t think the kids are being challenged enough here.

The decision to enroll my son at CT Schools was one of the best decisions made concerning his education. The classes are small, so teachers are able to give one-on-one attention to the students. The staff is wonderful and concerned for each child's well being.The principal Faith Coble is wonderful leader and one of the kindest people you will ever meet.
