It’s unfortunate to see the level of professionalism from the staff here. The receptionist, being the first point of contact, sets the tone for the entire experience, and unfortunately, the energy and communication are lacking.There seems to be a lack of important information readily available—such as graduation dates and times—which makes it difficult for families to properly plan and balance work and personal responsibilities.Additionally, there appears to be little support provided to students outside of the classroom, such as homework or resources to reinforce learning.Overall, there is significant room for improvement in communication, organization, and support. I hope the administration takes these concerns seriously and works toward providing a better experience for students and families.

I love this school very much. The principal, teachers, and staff are so friendly and care too much about my kids and parents. Special Education here is the best with the teacher of the year. I refer my friends to this school and they love it too. Highly recommend to everybody.

The 2022-2023 school year at Emmott Elementary for my kids has been very disappointing. I have a child in 1st grade and one in 3rd grade. Some of their teachers this year have pushed my kids to dislike school which has made it difficult for me to engage and help them. First, there has been such lack of communication from some of their teachers; the assistant principles only reach out after I had to send emails of issues about the teachers (unresolved) My daughter has a new teacher she doesn't engage well, I only spoke with her during field day, she advertently let me know she gave my daughter a passing grade for reading but then said it was a mistake and that she would call me to discuss, never happened and yes my daughter is stilll passing. My son's 7th week of school and his 1st grade teacher tells me he needs special education help. I say do your own research about (HB3)funding and teacher incentives I will leave that there! Secondly, I was on a conference with 2 teachers whom I never spoke to ever that's been helping my daughter with reading. I was accused by one of the teachers of not having the correct contact # on file and I quickly sent them a screenshot email proving my number has been updated since the beginning of the year because I get voicemails of upcoming hiring events, attendance etc.. I realized that specific teachers (not all the teachers) are not being held accountable for their mistakes from management there's lack of ownership as a whole, lack of belonging, engagement and inclusion for my kids this year. Again, I am only speaking from my experience not all teachers at Emmott lack. My daughter has been fortunate to have 1 really good teacher this year thank god. Lastly, I thought after-school tutoring would help but the school doesn't have specific resources to tutor in smaller groups, I quickly realized after-school tutoring wasn't helping my son after I found out he ended up with different teachers and was not getting help on what he needed. This review is only depicted on my experience from a couple of their teachers and not doesn't reflect on other kids or teachers at Emmott. Parents are here to help, and it's hard to do when there is lack of communication and engagement from teachers. From other Emmott reviews I see on google, Emmott is 50% below average, I don't have actual data just doing my research like any parent would. I would add a lot more but Im limited on characters for this review.

My child attended Fiest for three years before we decided to withdraw them. Unfortunately, our experience was marked by poor communication from the school. Information was often provided at the last possible moment, if at all, and teachers rarely communicated with us regarding lessons when we inquired.During the first year, the teacher went on leave, and a permanent substitute was assigned to the classroom. We were not given any means to communicate with this new employee. School work wasn't sent home until the last two weeks of school.In the second year, the teacher was a recent graduate. Our child frequently complained about the teacher crying and yelling at students. Despite raising our concerns, no action was taken. The third year was the best of the three, but even then, we were never informed about ways to help our child succeed when we prompted the teachers.Throughout all three years, the teachers seemed more focused on managing misbehaving children rather than supporting students who were eager to learn. I believe this issue is partly due to CFISD's inadequate disciplinary measures. They tend to use group punishments instead of addressing the actual problem children, which undermines the incentive for well-behaved students to continue their good behavior and academic efforts.If you are merely seeking childcare and are not concerned about your child's academic progress, this school may suffice. However, if you are looking for a solid educational foundation for your child's future, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

I had to pick up my grandson this afternoon …the 2 women that I first HAD to sadly lay eyes on were the most uninviting…unmannered ….disconnected..uncouth people …. Did not even smiled or said Hi or just feel welcomed …. They both looked unhappy and had a stank look in their face … after I told them who I was picking up they both basically just with their dismissive manners continued with their personal conversation about someone not being appreciative about a car … my point is that it’s an elementary school and they both with their unwelcoming attitudes should prob be in the cafeteria behind closed doors where nobody sees and hears them… please rethink who you have in the front it pretty much represents the school ….
