We absolutely love Lamkin Elementary! From day one, we’ve been so impressed with how well the school communicates. We always know what’s going on and feel truly connected. The teachers are caring, patient, and genuinely invested in their students’ success. The staff overall is knowledgeable, professional, and always approachable, which makes such a difference. They also celebrate their students all the time!The administration is incredibly supportive, visible, and they genuinely care about both students and staff. You can feel the positive energy the moment you walk through the doors. They’re now a Capturing Kids’ Hearts Showcase School, too! Our kids absolutely love going to school every day!We feel so lucky to be part of a school community that values learning, kindness, communication, and teaching the whole child as much as this one does. anti-pedagogical behavior by principal and assistants, they should not be able to work with children. They kicked my son out of school like an animal, they didn't give us any explanation and the principal's assistant took his supplies without any excuse.

My child attended Fiest for three years before we decided to withdraw them. Unfortunately, our experience was marked by poor communication from the school. Information was often provided at the last possible moment, if at all, and teachers rarely communicated with us regarding lessons when we inquired.During the first year, the teacher went on leave, and a permanent substitute was assigned to the classroom. We were not given any means to communicate with this new employee. School work wasn't sent home until the last two weeks of school.In the second year, the teacher was a recent graduate. Our child frequently complained about the teacher crying and yelling at students. Despite raising our concerns, no action was taken. The third year was the best of the three, but even then, we were never informed about ways to help our child succeed when we prompted the teachers.Throughout all three years, the teachers seemed more focused on managing misbehaving children rather than supporting students who were eager to learn. I believe this issue is partly due to CFISD's inadequate disciplinary measures. They tend to use group punishments instead of addressing the actual problem children, which undermines the incentive for well-behaved students to continue their good behavior and academic efforts.If you are merely seeking childcare and are not concerned about your child's academic progress, this school may suffice. However, if you are looking for a solid educational foundation for your child's future, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

The staff is so judgmental they whisper instead of helping and attitudes are poor it makes parents feel uncomfortable I actually wanted to take my kids out of this school how I am treated when I go into the office

This staff does not actually care about your child's education. They will let you down. We have a straight A student that is not being challenged academically, is member of choir, student government, you name it, they are in it. But guess what? My student is not in Gifted or Horizons, even though we have been pursuing it for the past three years. Want to know what happens? The staff tells you they don't know about the testing or how to sign up. No literature is sent home, no reminders in your child's folder. Nothing. Then you hear from your kid they saw testing was being done, and they weren't on the list. Annoyed, you call the school and they feign ignorance. Then, the second go around, they point to a tiny message in one thread from the principal on an app, that they use as justification for notification. So let's get this straight, they sent messages for star testing, dpms, quizzes, field trip reminders, but cannot be bothered to send any info about the gifted and horizons program. Calling the principal, and the counseloe does not help.This school clearly does not want children in that program. Parents, if you don't monitor your children's education very carefully, this school will take advantage, and do the bare minimum. We will be addressing this with the school board. If we get no relief there, we will most likely be removing and home schooling, while we engage with a lawyer to make this right, and to save our students from being targeted and unfairly treated.

We love this school. Our children look forward to coming to school every day. The teachers are caring and attentive to our kid's specific learning needs. We love that they are not confined to a classroom all day but enjoy that their teachers hold class or reading time outdoors on beautiful days. Not only that, the community here is the best. All families here agree that we want the best for our children.
