Zavala Elementary School

Very disorganized, we were so happy to move away from the school. There were a few teachers that were amazing, but still overall we had a horrible experience at this school and so we're so happy to be done with that nightmare.

I'm 34 years old now I went to this school in the late 80's and 90's from K thru 6th grade, I have such good memories here with sudents and teachers, I was in many programs here that they offered.

This school i would not tell anyone to put there children in there. The teachers don’t help or teach the kids im so happy and give God that my son is better in IDEAS in San Benito he is learning bringing home As and Bs in this school the teacher didn’t gave him a chance and retain him also wanted to places him in special education like no my son is smart. I would highly recommend SAN BENITO IDEAS. They have better teachers that listen and care help out there students. They won’t tell u lies or give u high hopes .

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this school. Communication was inconsistent, and I was left feeling that important information was not being openly shared. I strongly encourage the school to improve transparency, implement clearer reporting and investigation processes. Unfortunately, based on my personal experience, I would not recommend this school to other families seeking an environment that prioritizes the well-being of their child. I was also disappointed with the educational experience. Academically, I found the program to be lacking compared to other schools. There are very few extracurricular opportunities available during the regular school day, and parents are expected to enroll their children in after-school programs if they want additional enrichment activities. In addition, I was surprised by aspects of the physical education program, which, in my opinion, relied too heavily on screen-based activities rather than active physical engagement. I also found the approach used in religion classes to be overly fear-based and not aligned with the values I hoped would be emphasized.

We had to transfer to New York but we had our two children enrolled at St. Anthony's School. We were very satisfied with the school. The Pastor is supportive of the school and the principal demonstrates great leadership. He is always there for the parents and students. The teachers were always concerned for the progress of my children. If you want the best then I recommend you send your children. Thank you SAS and best of wishes.
