My daughter is in the dual language program and it is amazing!!! She is learning both English and Spanish side by side and was writing full sentences in both languages in Pre-K!! Most importantly, the staff and administration have a true spirit of CARING. The teachers work super hard and the administration always fights for children's best interest. Thank you Milam!!

I'm 34 years old now I went to this school in the late 80's and 90's from K thru 6th grade, I have such good memories here with sudents and teachers, I was in many programs here that they offered.

Lamar is an excellent elementary, teachers are very involved with the their students, the staff is very courteous and supportive with the parents and students. I have three children that attend this school and really enjoy it. They always have different school events happening throughout the school year that involves the students, parents and school staff.

Stuart Place Elementary is an absolutely great place to for children to learn and grow as future leaders. I thank not only the great leadership, and not just the excellent teachers, but also the support staff and volunteers that make Stuart Place run efficiently. The hard working parent volunteers are also very helpful in expediting the projects and programs that are needed by the instructors and other staff. Thank you all for your hard work and diligence!

I'm sorry but this school raised red flags for me since the first day of school. We recently moved to Harlingen and this was the school my child was assigned to. I always like to drop off my kids the first day of school so that I can meet the teachers (my wife drops them off most of the time). That first day I was floored when I saw what the teachers and staff were wearing. There is no place for five inch heels and tight revealing dresses at school for anyone much less the teachers. We are midway through the school year and my son is doing O.K., but he's always done well at school. Recently, his "conduct" card has been sent home continuously with complaints from the teacher (or teachers as after my wife asked for clarification on one incident and we sere met with "additional comments" from a second teacher). My boy has also started to dislike doing his homework. This is something we've never experienced as he has always loved doing his homework, even being down when we weren't able to get right to his homework after school. It just seams to me like the teachers care more about "other things" (i.e. their looks, etc.) rather than focussing on their students.
