Bowie Elementary School

The school is Christian in name only. My kids attended this school for 3 years and it has drastically declined. The adminidtration and some teachers do not have the students best interest in mind at all times. When the leadership changed is when it declined. From about 100 students to about 15 over the past 3 years. There was bullying going on, and nothing done about it. The motto 'kids will be kids' was all they would say. There are no sports and nothing impressive for the students to do. This is our last year as we are looking into other options available.

This school does not have good communication. It is very clickish. Teachers spread rumors. Head of school doesn't know how to contact their staff and doesn't even know where their staff is when I came to get my child only to find they had been taken off campus without my permission or knowledge. They use apps to communicate, but don't inform you of those apps and don't invite you into the private chat groups where they post some communications. Staff doesn't follow their own rules and the board doesn't care that staff belittles and name calls parents. No staff member ever apologizes for spreading lies/rumors, calling parents "the enemy", or insinuating someone is bad because they have 2 cell phones. NOT a group of people I want my children to see as models of Christians. I paid good money to be treated like trash. Shame on the board, the athletic department, the head of school Laura Smith, and a few of the teachers for their representation of Christians.
