My daughter just finished 5th grade and is moving on but our experience here was amazing. This is a fine arts academy and also a neighborhood school and the standards are high. The parents families are engaged. It is a nice newer facility. The area is an older mostly Hispanic area. We actually do no
Posted by a parent on 8/9/2026So far so good....2 of my sons attend this school, and I can already tell the difference in the environment. The teachers are out directing traffic, and opening doors for studemts to exit their parents vehicles. The classes are alot smaller than DISD, and teachers seem alot nicer, and invloved with
Posted by a parent on 9/17/2013my son attends bowie. The teachers care about their students. The principal could care less about anyone but her rep. I never cared for Bowie but the program offered only here helps my child achieve and prosper. Needs a new principal that cares for staff, students and parents!

They have great counselor, and most of the teacher are working to help lower incomes kids to go ahead improving their greats and projections in life.

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBeing a parent to two children who have gone to this school, i would not recommend. The turnover rate for the teachers is really high. The homework / classwork is very unclear and it seems like they are just trying to push them to the next grade instead of helping them on what they need help with. There is no unity with the parents and teachers. We will be looking for a new school next year.Parent Review5y ago - Calvary Baptist School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI wouldn't have my daughter anywhere else. She comes home with new songs, stories, and knowledge every single day. I know she is loved and cared for. They have almost completely potty trained her. We are included in everything that her teacher is doing. I can't say enough good things.Parent Review7y ago - Turnpike Christian School
