Highly, if you happen to place your child here than give Hyman an opportunity. My son started last year and I was wary about his new class. His teacher gave me an opportunity to sit in to converse on how she manage her classroom and teach her students. She made me feel very comfortable. Very..because I was opened minded with his new school. I also notice, the teacher support and volunteer their time to strive education. My son had an accident and she called me immediately. Thankfully, the nurse had extra clothes and pull ups for his undergarment. But I did my part and provided my time to be there for my son too. As a parent, I feel that Hyman is a wonderful elementary school, but its also the parent to do ones part.

I really appreciate all the extra time and effort the teachers and staff put forth.

I have two children that attend GFAA. The teachers and staff are invested in their students. Since starting Garner, we've moved out of district. We decided to continue attending Garner. The Fine Arts programs are excellent. Both of my children enjoy their core subjects and are advancing and excelling each year. I can't wait for the construction to be over. Even so, the faculty and staff make sure safety is a priority for the students.

My daughter is on her 3rd year and she loves her teacher's and classmates. She stays engaged and says she feels comfortable and happy to go.

I called inquiring about information and I believe the front desk staff named Janet was extremely disrespectful and rude. I am seriously going to be ending a lease that we just signed because of the rudeness that is allowed at this school. If your front desk staff if rude, disrespectful and disgusting then how can I expect anything less from anyone else at the school. This is completely and utterly unacceptable. You cannot answer 1 simple question if you are speaking over someone. How can you, “try to be nice this morning” and you don’t even let the person speak. Yeah I don’t care if I lose my deposit, I will not send my children to this school

They did a wonderful job with my daughter who is now on to 2nd grade. She was behind on reading but they had a tutor for 1st grade who spent extra time with her a couple times a week and now my little girl is a great reader. All thanks to those at Starrett Elementary. My son was their for preK to K and they also did a good job handling him and helping him get the extra care needed for him. Teaching a student isn't just the teachers job but as a school as whole! Great job Starrett!!My sister also went here from K through 6th, she's now going to be a junior in high school and is a wonderful writer thanks to starrett!!!
