Our family has had nothing but great experiences at O. Henry Elementary over the years. I’d love for it to remain our best-kept secret in Richardson ISD, but this sweet school deserves every bit of recognition it gets."

The special education teachers were good for my kid. The principal has an attitude and she’s not friendly to parents and students. The leadership is awful based on what my neighbor says. Get new leadership.

This school has gone downhill since the new principal was hired this year. Unfortunately, she does not seem to know what she is doing, and her decisions have caused serious problems for staff and students. Good, dedicated employees are being let go, while others who behave unethically are kept on. For example, the registrar has been known to sign parents’ consent forms without their permission, yet nothing is done about it.The leadership team only cares about protecting their own positions rather than supporting staff. There is little to no support for teachers or employees, and instead leaders work in ways that only benefit themselves. The school board seems unaware of what is really happening and continues to support these leaders, which makes things even worse.The biggest mistake the board made was hiring this new principal, who lacks knowledge, experience, and respect from the school community. Morale is at an all-time low, and unfortunately, this leadership has created a very toxic environment.
