I’m a student the janitors awesome the teacher awesome Ms.McCarty is the best teacher hands down the students super friendly even tho it’s small it’s a good school

The school counselor and nurse are wonderful.As far as family engagement goes, the school mainly welcomes parents for raising funds and volunteering. Some teachers welcome parent involvement in your child's education. But others do not respond to emails, and worse, the principal almost never responds to emails. My child was there for 6 years and I probably sent less than 5 emails over the years. Between my two children, having attended four Garland ISD schools, this is the only school with principals that ignored almost all attempts from me to communicate with them (whether it was a concern or praise). The one time my concern was not ignored was when my child's bullying on the bus was reported to the district instead of just the school.Like most schools, some of the teachers are amazing, but some seem like they are there for a paycheck and pension. The best part of this school is that it is a magnet for kids who are found to be gifted through certain tests. If you have any experience with these kids, you realize that even though people may think they have it easy, many of these kids have personalities that other kids find socially awkward. It is wonderful that there is a magnet where these kids have an opportunity to work with other kids that may have similar ways of learning and socializing.

Teachers talk to students badly while pointing in their face and put hands on students. Other students threaten with weapons and they never get checked .Ms Allen is a poor principle . They retaliate of you call the district on them

Worst Experience — Administrative Negligence and Safety FailuresI am leaving a 1-star review to publicly document a severe lack of student safety, administrative dishonesty, and an unsupportive environment at this school.Rampant Bullying & Toxic Culture: The campus repeatedly fails to address student bullying, while multiple teachers rely on destructive criticism that breaks student morale rather than encouraging learning. The lunches provided are consistently poor.Severe Field Trip Negligence: During a 5th-grade school field trip to a roller skating rink, chaperones completely abandoned a student who did not know how to skate. Despite falling 20 times due to zero supervision or assistance, no adult intervened. On the 21st fall, the student suffered a fractured and severely twisted ankle.Cover-Up and Blame Shifting: Rather than taking responsibility for their total failure to supervise, the school administration fabricated a story claiming the student was "doing a trick." This is a blatant lie designed to shift legal liability and avoid paying medical bills.This administration prioritizes funding, attendance numbers, and covering up its own mistakes over the physical safety and emotional well-being of its students. Avoid this school.

In 2022, I registered my kids for pre-K and kindergarten at Lake Cities Montessori. They've been consistently participating in the after-school care program ever since. The teachers at the school have shown remarkable dedication and care for the students, establishing a nurturing and supportive learning atmosphere. overall I rate Lake Cities Montessori as a very good school and I would recommend them any time.Mary M.
