I would rate my experience as sub par. Gainesville likes to have all these programs that are supposed to benefit the kids that want to learn and be better, but it is mainly smoke and mirrors. After graduating I can say I liked the people I met because I had a good group of friends but the education was below average. But there really isn't a whole lot of choices at Gainesville. Better to move to a bigger city and send your kid to a 4A or 5A school and if they aspire to be great

I have two boys one attended Gainesville the other Callisburg and I highly recommend Callisburg over Gainesville. Unfortunately the make up of the student population is somewhat of the problem.
