Posted by a parent on 10/10/2017My grand daughter is adhd & can be a challenge but all her teachers.she is in 2nd grade currently from Ms Ruth , Ms Davidson & Mrs Colgin have been GREAT! The principal Mrs Gonzalez has also been very supportive & helpful! Could not have asked for a better environment....she can't wait to get to sch

My son cried for months that he did not want to attend school. He was treatened by a teacher there. He is adhd and I don't think they are prepared to treat certain cituations correc

He has been targeted by mean Hispanic kids who obviously feel this is their territory. I’m flabbergasted that 8 year old kids are so cruel. I gave 2 stars because the assistant principal at Natha Howell is so sweet to my grandson and is a Caucasian woman. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI called to speak with the principal about getting my child enrolled, and I dont know if i caught her at a bad time, she woke up on the wrong side of the bed, or it was her everyday regular foul attitude; but she came off as combative for literally no reason. You would think that being in an education profession, that effective communication, constructive listening, and not talking OVER someone would be a simple concept and learned skill. If our exchange went the way that it did with me asking a SIMPLE question, I couldn't imagine how it would be if a real issue arose during the school year. They work with the students on their level and work to make them better from where they start at. The teachers all work so well together and realize that they all have an ultimate goal to teach the children and it's not a competition or which tea her is better. I could not recommend a better school than Birdville Elementary.
