Posted by a student on 2/3/2014El Paso High is one of the oldest schools in town, built in 1914. The original architecture still stands tall and proud on a hilltop, which is one of the reasons it is often referred to as "The Lady on the Hill". The Football Stadium is located at the bottom of the front steps to the school, a magnificent entrance with huge pillars and a lot of cornice not only on the exterior architecture, but throughout the interior as well. It's an inspiration and so are the teacher's I've met in the two years my son has been attending school here. El Paso High is also a "Magnet School" for a Dual-Language Program, "Connecting Worlds", where students take classes in both English and Spanish. Obviously, this program helps students become proficient in both languages. El Paso High also has a new Bi-Lingual Principal, Kristine Ferret. During this 1st year of her administration, I have seen her organize and attend numerous meetings to reach out to the school's parents. She is very easy to reach and she is not only visibly involved in the day to day administration, she's been right down on the field with the cheerleaders as they encourage the Tigers to win. I like what I see, so far.

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt was bad and it went to worse the teachers there not all but most are very disrespectful. The principal never addressed a problem. There is no communication between parents and teachers. The lady’s working at the front office aren’t helpful at all. They give very bad customer service to the parents they give you attitude when you have a problem with a teacher. Since that principal got there is being getting from bad to worse.Parent Review3y ago - Mesita Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageVery good school. My son studied there from 1st to 5th grade. English is not his first language and they were great in introducing English to him. He had tutoring every day and I think that was decisive for his learning process. He was also placed in the dual-language program and learned Spanish as well which was a plus. Now, he is the only one in my family that speaks fluently three languages.Parent Review3y ago - El Paso Country Day School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is an amazing school. The teachers really care. They are not going to sugarcoat the way other private schools do. Honest and dedicated to each child. If you want the social links that come with private schools, this school is not it! They are only interested in the kids and could care less what parents do for a living. Refreshing change from last school.Parent Review1y ago - El Paso Country Day School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSt. Clement's is a hidden treasure for the city of El Paso. The care and excellence cannot be found anywhere else in the city. The school concentrates on developing the whole child. They work on re-enforcing the values we teach at home. This school works on the ethics and teaches the children to make the right choices with the right tools. I love how my children are excited to go to school and how their independence has really grown. Love this school!Parent Review5y ago - Ronald McDonald House

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSt.Patrick’s is such a good school. It’s not like the beat school ever, it has all the little mistakes all the school has. The catholic education is very good, they express it very well. They have lots of fun activities for students of all ages to enjoy and have fun at St.Patrick’s. The staff is very well trained and many students learn a lot from them. The students are respectful and it’s a pretty calm environment for the kids. Honestly, love this school!Student Review9mo ago
